This family with three young children wanted to maximise every single inch of space for play and outdoor living, regardless of the season. The existing landscaping had broken the garden into a series of small areas which did not function as well as they could. Most of the existing planting was removed and retaining walls created flat spaces. Artificial turf means the children can play outside right through winter without getting wet and muddy. For the adults, a generous multilevel deck was provided which provides ample space for dining, cooking and relaxing while still watching the children. There was even space for a spa. Louvretech louvres mean the outdoor living area can be used regardless of the weather. The existing fences and retaining walls were given a fresh lease of life with Resene Waterborned Woodsman Equilibrium and a new colour palette (Resene Eighth Stonewall and Resene Double Stonewall) was also provided for the house and roof. The front lawn was hydroseeded for a lush result and new plants with beautiful foliage and seasonal interest will create a lush backdrop and street appeal as they mature.

Das Haus ist sehr alt, Bauweise und Teile der Bearbeitung des Bauholzes verweisen auf vor 1800. Jedenfalls wurde es wohl von jeder Generation auf die eigenen Wünsche gründlich angepasst: Verlängert oder verkürzt, Teile umgenutzt, Holz durch Stahl ersetzt, es war wohl auch einmal ein Hutsalon darin, um 1900 war es ein Kaufladen, die nächsten 80 Jahre eine Bäckerei. Jetzt wurde es gründlich saniert, auch modernisiert, auch energiesparsam gewandelt - aber es hat auch viel alte Substanz behalten dürfen. Vom ganzen Haus stellen wir erst einmal hier das Vorderhaus vor. (Kernlage eines Dorfes im Oberrheingraben nahe Karlsruhe)

Conversion of Georgian Terrace-house once lived in by Will Hay Actor Astronomer. We received it to its original splendour from 3 bedrooms & poorly converted basement flat to a 5 bedroom, 2.5 bathroom, Kitchen plus dinning room. This is an ongoing project. We will be adding extra bathroom & cinema room plus rear extension. This was a full conversion, cost so far £80k, we expect final cost to be in region of £120k.

Ce lit sur estrade permet d'optimiser un volume souvent délaissé. celui du lit. En effet la plupart du temps nous réflechissons l'espace lit en plan et non en volume. Dans de micros appartements comme celui-ci il est impératif de réfléchir en 3 dimensions.
