Beaucoup d’espace et un propriétaire n’ayant pas peur des grands projets : il n’en fallait pas plus pour voir naître cet aménagement original. Tout part d’une retenue de terre alternant roches, murets de pierres sèches et traverses en chêne disposées en jeu d’orgue. L’ensemble se pare d’une belle collection de vivaces et de sujets remarquables comme ce magnifique pin taillé en nuages. De là, s’écoule tranquillement à travers le jardin une rivière ponctuée de galets et de quelques roches. Elle croise sur son chemin un élégant potager constitué de carrés en hauteur et d’un chalet pour faciliter le travail du jardinier. Le tout est joliment ceinturé par une barrière en bois. This is an example of a small contemporary back formal partial sun garden for summer in Dublin with a garden path, natural stone paving and a wood fence.

QKS’s clients were looking to replace their old conservatory with a bespoke orangery. Their existing conservatory was in need of repair to a point where they could no longer use it for most months of the year. The clients approached QKS to design and build an orangery that could be used all year around, becoming a focal point for their entertaining. Switching from a conservatory to a contemporary orangery using aluminium products was essential to creating a luxurious living space. The orangery measures 9m x 5m and features a dual colour lantern roof; white inside grey outside and 3 sets of French aluminium doors. We installed two roof lanterns which were strategically positioned to maximise the natural light into the property. QKS carried out the complete design to build programme, which included all the hard landscaping and garden design as well as the interior décor. The clients are absolutely delighted with their completed project, and can now relax or entertain in their large, open, contemporary new living space.
