Realizzata nel mese di aprile 2016 la trasformazione in stanza a cielo aperto di questo ampio attico in centro a Bologna. Grazie all'impiego di capienti contenitori, le piante messe a dimora hanno immediatamente reagito esprimendo la loro gratitudine con un rigoglio commovente e abbondanti fioriture che si susseguono ininterrottamente . Dal punto di vista botanico, abbiamo optato per piante da clima temperato con poche eccezioni. Una base di piante sempreverdi garantisce la presenza invernale: Azalea, Buxus, Nandina, Camellia, Trachelospermum, Clematis armandii, piccole edere ricadenti si affiancano con le loro diverse tonalità di verde cangiante al variare delle stagioni. Le fioriture sono in prevalenza bianche, con un tocco di porpora grazie alle profumatissime rose inglesi nell'ampia macchia a sud. Dalla primavera all'inverno, sbocciano profumate Clematis armandii 'Apple Blossom', Azalea rustica, Nandina domestica, Trachelospermum jasminoides, Erigeron karvinskianus, Hydrangea quercifolia e hortensis, Gardenia grandiflora, Rosa Iceberg, Camellia sasanqua. Arredi di design completano l'allestimento creando piacevoli angoli di relax per godere appieno di questo incantevole spazio tra piante e cielo.

Design ideas for a large world-inspired back garden in Perth.

A magical new garden was key to our client’s ambitious renovation plans for this exceptional house in East Sussex. Set in grounds of just over one acre – the once featureless garden simply fell away from the house with little to connect the two or draw you outside. A new circular driveway now sweeps around the ancient oak tree to a cool, scented white garden that is both structured and romantic. Concentric rings of yew hedging divide borders brimming with early scented narcissi, alliums, foxgloves, campanula, anemone and more. The palette explodes in the rear garden as mown paths cut through swathes of wildflowers down to the lake sized pond lined with bulrushes and swirling with goldfish and dragonflies. A water feature Mark designed for the RHS Tatton Park garden show is replicated here at the client’s request and is the central feature of the bamboo garden that now links the front and rear gardens. The fallen oak tree that once lay in the front garden is now to be enjoyed in the sunken seating area and pond-side benches. Regular visits to this garden have allowed us to collaborate in the continued development and nurture of one of our very favourite gardens. Mark Payne Landscape Design

A tiny outdoor space was made to feel larger by replacing the lawn with paved paths and a courtyard. New steps replaced a sloping path to the front door. This home now has great street appeal and the courtyard provides a pretty flower filled living space throughout the year. There is even a small vegetable box squeezed in.
