This stunning Coastal Inspired Kitchen is located in a Garden House at the rear of a large victorian in Newcastle County Down. The homeowners built the property for when their children return home from the Mainland Uk during the holidays, and other visiting friends and family. The stunning two story lodge has two bedrooms, two bathrooms, a lounge with wood burning stove, a utility room, and dining area off this kitchen.
Only the best materials and finishes were used in the kitchen including Quartz, Painted Wood, American Oak and Nickel.
The custom palette has a subtle but rich coastal look, in smooth painted Cadet Blue & Porcelain. The compact kitchen still manages to house a fridge freezer, larder, pullout bins, dishwasher and other pullout storage systems. There's even a compact mobile island that will double as a drinks trolley for sunny summer barbeques.
Visually the space looks larger with clever tricks such as a white induction hob, integrated cooker hood, undermount quartz sink, bench seating and even a 4in1 boiling water tap, alleviating the need for a kettle, or water filter jug.
The overall space is both timeless and elegant.

This kitchen was for a Victorian cottage undergoing total modernisation and renovation. The wood burner in the snug, new doors and windows had already been installed, our clients were then looking for the perfect kitchen to knit the sitting room and dining area together.
They wanted a classic style in a bold colour, that would make a modern statement but feel appropriate to a Victorian cottage.
The brief was to make the sitting room and kitchen feel more connected to each other, creating a more open-plan space.
We designed a classic lay-on shaker kitchen in Little Greene Paint Company’s ‘Puck’, a wonderfully bold racing green. To keep the kitchen feeling light and bright, we paired the units with the Carrera Venato quartz worktops. In addition to the worktops, we designed floating shelves and opened out the kitchen by removing a unit that had previously sat between the pillar and wall. All of these elements combined to ensure the kitchen feels bright and modern, even in such a deep and bold colour.

This kitchen in an open-plan space exudes contemporary elegance with its Italian handleless design.
The cabinetry, finished in Fenix Beige Arizona and Bianco Kos with a luxurious matt finish, contributes to a seamless and sophisticated look. The Italian handleless style not only adds a touch of minimalism but also enhances the clean lines and sleek aesthetic of the space.
The worktops, featuring 20mm Caesarstone Aterra Blanca Quartz, add a touch of refinement and durability to the kitchen. The light colour complements the cabinetry choices to create a cohesive design. The choice of Caesarstone ensures a sturdy and easy-to-maintain surface.
A spacious island takes centre stage in this open-plan layout, serving as a focal point for both cooking and dining activities. The integrated hob on the island enhances the functionality of the space, allowing for efficient meal preparation while maintaining a streamlined appearance.
This kitchen is not just practical and functional; it also provides an inviting area for dining and socialising with a great choice of colours, materials, and overall design.

A modern kitchen: practical, functional and good to look at
The "Happening" line of kitchens is our response to the latest request for a kitchen that is both easy to work in and comfortable to live in: the area designated for food preparation has been concentrated in one central point, the storage areas and compartments have been efficiently arranged, the various work spaces easily double as living spaces – all of our solutions and designs focus on the expression of your personal attitude and social lifestyle.
The line includes five kitchen models having a similar layout design but with different carcase (Bellagio Cherry, White, Aluminum Grey, Antique Walnut, Oak Decapé): the numerous door and handle types and available colors combine to make 1131 different versions, allowing you to personally create a kitchen in the colors and styles you want.
We have called these kitchens "Life", "City", "Dream", "Home" and "Play".

Keeping the simple and elegant style of Shaker kitchens on the outside, with the simplicity and functionality of a frameless kitchen on the inside, our NAKED Frame gives the best of both worlds.

By keeping the lines in the bathroom simple and including a large window the light and space was maximised

The brief for this unique kitchen was for it to be ‘a huge piece of furniture’. Well….. challenge accepted. To achieve this goal, we knew that we needed to approach the design from the details outwards, so we started with the cabinet doors. As the kitchen was to be over three levels rather than the traditional two, and because we wanted to articulate the idea of ‘furniture’ rather than ‘kitchen cabinets’, we designed three complimentary cabinet doors, each with their own personalities.
Door pulls and pan hooks were made from beautiful hexagonal brass rods, and drawers were lined for cutlery, utensils and cookware. A slim shelf above the splashback provided a place for kitchen essentials like salt and oil. The mid-level of the kitchen was kept clean and uncluttered by means of our signature F+B ‘School House’ off-white lacquer, so that the wood didn’t feel overpowering.
But the main event is the truss shelf that spans the open side of the kitchen like a portal frame. This beautifully detailed piece of Japanese-inspired design gives space for the client’s collection of Asian ceramics, and for our bespoke Japanese shoji paper lanterns, which light the space.
A unique kitchen, handmade like only a furniture maker could.
