Vida Grange is the second Dementia Care Home for Vida Healthcare, a Harrogate based Care provider. The 124 Bed Home was officially opened on 2 December 2016 by the Chief Executive of CareEngland, who commented that the building was ‘outstanding’ A design led approach was at the forefront of the Clients brief to create a building which would be state of the art and seen as an exemplar in the field of Dementia Care. Communal open plan space is at the core of the scheme with resident bedrooms located around open plan communal spaces linked through visual connection rather than corridors and centred around naturally lit double height internal lightwells comprising artificial green walls and artificial grass floors to create the feel of an outside environment within.

We completed an outdoor transformation on a residential roof terrace in Sevenoaks yesterday. A custom made sail shade in waterproof fabric was installed by us, it not only provides shelter from the sun and rain, but also adds privacy to this roof terrace. We supplied and installed 32m2 of LazyLawn Wonder Yarn 26mm, a bespoke linear trellis, artificial and natural green living walls. We introduced a new planting scheme to enhance the area. A water feature was installed, along with a drip irrigation system to the planters. Up-lighters were installed to create a relaxed ambience, giving our customer an additional room where he can dine with friends and family.

We transformed this previously unappealing area where the grass was struggling to grow into a useable, attractive space for our clients to enjoy, split across 3 levels. We used new sandstone and sandstone caps to create retaining stone walls in a style sensitive to its surroundings. The team laid steel grey Indian sandstone flags laid, 600x900mm. We extended the patio for entertainment, created 2 sets of steps up onto artificial grass, installed disability ramp access for the house and elevated the hedge line with graduated sleeper walls.
