Communal area leading to the top floor flat - wall panneling and a painting make it homely. This small flat on the top floor of the victorian house had a fantastic light but the walls and ceilings were at an angle. Unusual and not easy to furnish, it was difficult for viewers to see how thy can use the space. We managed to make it functional and attractive, and create a happy feel about it - ideal for a first time buyer. It did not stay long on the market.

The Cadet is a traditional folding wooden loft ladder. It offers a good level of thermal insulation as well as an airtight seal. Finished in white, with concealed hinges for a high quality and attractive appearance.

The high ceiling in the bedroom allows to incorporate a gallery that the client uses as a studio. A dramatic stair cantilevers off the wall and can be used as a bookshelf.

Splitting off like a maze, the hallway leads into the master bedrooms and further upward towards the loft area. The glass panels of the stairs provide protection and safety, while also being unimposing on the spacial awareness of the hallway.

Strong and robust loft ladder, combining an aluminium concertina staircase with a highly insulated wooden hatch box. Counter-balanced spring means that it is very easy to operate - requiring just 3kg of operating load. Shown here in a bold red powder coat finish.
