We hired EMF (Liz) to help us with the entire renovation of our two bathrooms. This was under very challenging conditions because the renovation time was limited to three weeks which was the time we moved out temporarily. Thanks to Liz’ detailed preparation beforehand and her precise scheduling during the work, she and her experienced team of tradesmen managed this challenge. As for the preparation, her advice saved us from bad surprises during work and her flexibility gave us the liberty to freely chose materials and suppliers. We also highly appreciated that Liz double checked every order for consistency and compatibility. During work, we received a daily update (with photos) and were thus sure that the work was in excellent hands with Liz. In case of little unforeseen events, she and the tradesman in charge already had the solution in mind when contacting us. We know Liz as a well-organized and trustful person delivering outstanding work and highly recommend her.

Without Liz's expert management of the project I would have struggled to manage everything I had going on - she was a godsend! Liz's knowledge of local tradesmen, vendors of materials, and building regulations are second-to-none and I trusted her wholeheartedly to manage all aspects of my renovation. She jumped through multiple hoops and manage to deliver everything I asked of her and more, and dealt with any issues as they presented themselves and would only trouble me with something that genuinely needed my input. Liz' company, EMF Management Service, oversaw a renovation project for us a couple of years ago, and the services which she provided were invaluable. Liz has lived in the Geneva area for 20 years and knows many builders and craftsmen (electricians, carpenters, etc) as well as local laws, regulations and practices. She is a great project manager, very reliable and conscientious, who has great taste and will present many suggestions but always listens to her clients. Working full time, it would have been very difficult for us to spend the time necessary to develop and monitor the project, and we're very grateful to Liz that she delivered on time and within budget.

I would recommend EMF (Liz) to anyone. We made a decision to renovate one of our bathrooms ahead of our family living overseas arriving in Summer 2017. We initially went to the bigger providers to help plan and implement the project. After months of poor communication with these providers we found EMF. By the time we engaged EMF we were under a time pressure to complete the project. Liz at EMF was efficient and demonstrated clear experience in dealing with all aspects of the project (plumbing and tiling). I was very happy with the way Liz engaged in the project, it was as important to her to complete the project to high quality standards as it was for us. I found the experience with EMF to be very efficient and affordable. I'd use EMF again for my next renovation project.

Liz Forest (EMF Management) was recommended by a colleague when we were looking for someone to project manage the renovation of our new home. At that time, her rate was the most competitive so in addition to the colleague’s recommendation, we decided to hire her. The thing we appreciated most about Liz was she spent our money carefully like it was her own. At times, she even negotiated with contractors harder than we would have done to get us the best rates. She was careful and correct in her charges, even generous in her calculations (of time worked) to benefit us. She asks for quotes from several contractors and then gives her advice to us which she thinks is best. I have no “bad” moments, we were always meeting the timeline we have set. Liz put up a chart in the house and was able to stay close to the timeline at most times. This also served as a reminder to the workers about the schedule. Liz speaks French very well. She communicated with the vendors well. She is kind to them and tough if she has to be. She is almost always at the site. If she cannot be there, she makes sure that they are there and always inspecting and checking what is being done/has been done. She pays attention to details and even gives special attention to those details that we have indicated as important to us. Once she had to communicate discouraging information to us, it was about getting some tax break because we chose 3 pane windows. We initially thought that it was possible but when Liz did the research it turned out that we could not do it. Liz even offered to do the paperwork for us if it had been possible. This situation was not within Liz’s control. It is clear Liz likes to do this type of work so her motivation is double because it comes from within. Our family saved so much time and energy (and I would even dare say money!) by having Liz help us with the works in the house. If you decide to hire her, I am sure you will be very content with how she will do her work. I highly recommend Liz and would work with her again.
