I’ve spent more than 25 years designing and building gardens. Two decades of construction taught me how a garden actually goes together on site, what lasts and what doesn’t, and where problems start. Now I focus entirely on design, because that’s where I add the most value: thinking, planning and solving problems before building begins. I don’t build gardens. I design them. I don’t sell features, packages or pre-set styles. What I offer is the most important part of your outdoor project: design, led by listening, rooted in real life, and shaped by what matters most to you. Most clients come to me because they feel stuck. Something isn’t working, or they’ve outgrown their space. The house is done, but the garden’s still a source of stress. Or a previous attempt hasn’t quite worked. What they need isn’t another quote. It’s a conversation, and someone to help them step back, see clearly, and design a space that makes sense. Whether it’s a small family garden, a commercial courtyard or a public site with layers of complexity, my approach is the same: thoughtful, collaborative and structured. You’ll get a clear process, honest advice, and someone who genuinely wants to help you get it right. The result is a garden that feels personal, purposeful and easy to live with, not just easy on the eye. I take no fee or commission, and the choice is always yours. During the build, I’m on hand to answer contractor questions and make sure the design intent comes through.
