She really took the time to understand how we wanted the space to feel, while also encouraging us to be a bit braver with our choices—which made all the difference. Her eye for design and confidence gave us the reassurance to take those risks, and the end result feels both timeless and full of personality. We came to Sophia knowing we wanted to redesign our home but not quite knowing where to start. As a neurodivergent family with sensory needs, we needed more than just good design — we needed someone who could truly understand how we live. Sophia did exactly that. We used her Home Harmony package, which was perfect for where we are on our journey. We're not ready for a full build yet, but we want to thoughtfully update our home room by room over time — and Sophia completely understood that. She helped us identify our family style, find harmony between our different needs, and integrate sensory-informed design in a way that felt intentional rather than an afterthought. What sets Sophia apart is how much she gave us back to ourselves. We came away with real confidence, practical tools, and a genuine sense of our own taste — and that confidence has made decision-making so much easier. We no longer second-guess ourselves; we have the skills to act on our ideas and move forward at our own pace. She translates the design world into something accessible and empowering, getting right to the heart of what a family needs rather than imposing a vision. We know she'll be there when we're ready for the bigger project ahead. We couldn't recommend her more highly.

I’m not sure I could ever do another project without Sophia?! She is truly invaluable, offering great advice and options, listening to what I want, but also showing me things I never knew I needed. Her project management skills are also incredible, she takes all the stress out of it, and I just watch it all unfold and come together. The kitchen was our second project together, and I can’t wait for the third next year!

Sophia has been brilliant. She really spent the time getting to know us and understanding our design personality. She has designed our master bedroom/en suite and our kitchen and we could not be happier with the outcome of the designs. They feel super personal and it is clear how much time and effort Sophia put in to make sure they are perfect for us. This is the second project that we have had Sophia design and manage for us. Sophia completed a one bedroom cottage renovation for us that included all spaces. Sophia fulfilled the brief and we are over the moon with the outcome. Sophia has sourced high quality materials and products from places that we never would have explored before. Sophia is also happy to create bespoke pieces and is also very good at sourcing vintage pieces to elevate the space. Sophia has created a warm and inviting place and we hope to work in partnership with other projects in the future.

We have recently completed a family design discovery with Sophia. From the outset, we were impressed with her approachable, calm and organised way of working. Sophia clearly has a passion and natural flair for design, and she took the time to get to know our family's likes and dislikes. She has produced a design theme for our house that both my husband and I agree is completely spot-on and truly beautiful. We really enjoyed the final stage of seeing the theme laid out and being able to interact with the samples. We now have greater confidence to design for our own house, but are also looking forward to working with Sophia again on some room-specific renovations.

Having hired Sophia to design and project manage our complete kitchen refurbishment in 2023, upon deciding to give our living room a makeover my wife and I were keen to ask Sophia for her design ideas. Sophia responded as enthusiastically as always, and set about creating a definite redesign but with surprisingly little disruption. As I have become used to from the kitchen project, her initial aim was to dig into how we use the room, when we use it and how we like it to feel, for example in our case my wife and I like it to feel like a calm haven that we retire to relax, normally for a few hours between dinner and bedtime. I do not hesitate to recommend Sophia, and she has an uncanny knack of picturing what the finished room is going to look like and how that will match what the client is trying to achieve.

Sophia is a wonderful interior designer and helped us so much with inspiration for our busy family home, by giving us a comprehensive family harmony package that reflected all of our personalities. Sophia prepared an overall bespoke style (industrial luxe) applicable to all of our requirements, giving us the confidence to develop these ideas into making and planning our dream home. Although no rooms have been specifically designed by Sophia, she has given us the right amount of information that we now understand our style so we can live happily and comfortably. Sophia made the experience enjoyable and really took the time understand what we wanted to achieve.

Sophia took on the task to combine me and my husband’s very different design likes ! It came out as a Contemporary Fusion style where she found the right balance for us. We have started with the children’s bedrooms which I longed had on my to do list and it’s turning beautifully . I’m excited to what’s to come and give a truly transformation to our whole house. Sophia has a great eye for colour and detail , something that’s doesn’t come naturally to most people and she has taken the whole burden of managing trades on my behalf . I will recommend her 100% .

Sophia came in to design a cohesive scheme for a family bathroom. She totally got the brief, came up with ideas that really worked in the space and were things that even as an experienced tradesman had not really considered. Delivered a detailed moodboard with lots of time and care taken to the physical products being used and how it would work day to day for the whole family! Top professional from start to finish!

Having decided to re-decorate but wanting more than a "lick of paint", I contacted Sophia to discuss how she could help me achieve a fresh look, including replacing the staircase and constructing a new fire hearth/surround. From her first visit to discuss the staircase and hearth plus a colour palette, I was confident Sophia would create a new look for me. The building work( removal and fitting of a bespoke staircase and new hearth) went smoothly with minimal disruption. Initially I was nervous to step out of my comfort zone of plain, into one of colour and co-ordinating patterns, but Sophia showed me how to be brave and consider alternatives to plain walls and furnishings. I am so pleased I listened and embrace all she said. From start to finish Sophia kept me informed, sent me links to furnishings that would work and was always prepared to listen when I became concerned about any aspect of the design and colours. I now have a room that I am absolutely thrilled with and cannot thank Sophia enough for creating this for me!

We have now completed our third project with Sophia and once again we have been extremely happy with the result. Our focus of one project a year starting with living room, then onto entrance/hallway and this years endeavour being garden room/office space, means all three areas now reflect who we are, what we like and ultimately how we enjoy the space. This would not have been achieved without Sophia’s design expertise. Our newly designed garden room/office is now practical for working from home, but also an inviting space to enjoy throughout the day. Sophia’s attention to detail and creative flair by introducing a botantical wall and bespoke art truely makes the space unique. Sophia creative guidance throughout the process and nothing is too much trouble. We look forward to our next project with Sophia in 2025!

Sophia and her team have been incredible every step of the way with the transformation of my new build coach house. I’m amazed at how supportive and responsive Sophia has been and is full of inspirational ideas, and ways of working around challenges that present themselves. I chose Sophia because of her wonderful work, style and choice in colour palettes and she has not disappointed on this! She has really taken the time to understood my daughter and I, our interests, tastes and preferences. This has resulted in gorgeous end results that we are over the moon with. Sophia has really helped us to completely redesign our bathroom. Her imagination & vision have resulted in a room full of flamboyance & style - totally out of our comfort zone - with completely fabulous results. This a review pre completion, so I have the plans and can only comment on the planning process. I found Sophia to be very considerate of personal preferences during the planning process, she comes up with great ideas and is very efficient in producing the plans and is very flexible. The images allow you to visualise your finished project which is really helpful in making decisions. I went with Sophia because she didn't cold call me when i was at work, but she emailed me to ask when was convenient. I also like the idea that she and her husband will project manage the whole thing.

We are really enjoying our design process with Sophia. Overall design theme for the house and one room down - many more to come. The process has been great fun with equal parts really listening to our needs, understanding our family and creative push! We personally love DIY and Sophia is very flexible supporting any parts of implementation that our skill or time won't get to. Lastly I appreciate the budget flex on items to buy - nothing is too much trouble swapping for alternatives.

This is the second project Sophia has designed and project managed for us. After the successful completion of the living room we were very excited to start on the hallway/stairs & landing area. Once again we placed our trust in Sophia and team. The finish did not disappoint with an amazing living room connected and complemented with an entrance hall. This whole design experience captured exactly what we liked and how we wanted to use the space, mixing our colour palette with day to practicalities is all down to Sophia. We can highly recommend the full project management service and look forward to our next project - the master bedroom!

My wife and I had Golden Feathers redesign and remodel our kitchen. From design through project management to final build they were excellent. Specifically, the design was imaginative and tailor made to how we use our kitchen. The project management was tightly managed, co-ordinating with and managing suppliers. The build and finishing design touches are to a very high standard. The project finished on time and almost bang on the budget. Out of many things I liked, I’ll just mention two but I consider them to be very important. Firstly, we had a combination of bespoke work and off the shelf stuff. The former is of a terrific design and high quality workmanship while the latter was selected by Golden Feathers from a range of different suppliers to get exactly the right look. Secondly, this was a big project and there was bound to be some snagging. We were asked to provide a list, which we supplied to Sophia on a ‘snagging’ visit to us after the work. She then arranged for the various snags to be sorted out to our satisfaction, which they are now. To summarise, from the initial design meetings to the after care, we couldn’t be happier with our new kitchen and the way the project was approached, managed and executed.

The actual building/construction work is not due to begin until Jan 2023, so this review is in the context of design, planning and organisation. I have absolute confidence in Golden Feathers. The best way I can describe it is that they are sitting on the same side of the table as me. They are always willing to lead, but also great listeners. As stated, the building work has yet to begin but the design and planning stages are completed 100% satisfactorily. Many of the qualities I value most highly have been evident in the way Golden Feathers behaves and acts. For example, they ask good questions and bother to listen to the answers. Everything regarding the project revolves around what is best for me. I truly believe that they will only be happy if I absolutely adore the end result of the project. Also - and this is something I really value- a promise made is a promise kept, by which I mean if we agree something then it does happen. For example, placing an order or negotiating with a supplier. Altogether, Golden Feathers is a pleasure to deal with and work with.

Sophia has transformed our Living Room, enhancing the period features by adding colour, luxury and superb styling. From start to finish Sophia has taken me on a journey and by trusting the colour palate and design throughout it has paid off and created the Living Room I craved but didn’t know how to pull together. Sophia is a superb designer and the team of tradesman did not disappoint. I strongly recommend the project management package and look forward to the next project for the hallway, stairs & landing, which I can’t wait to get started on. The whole experience has been a pleasure, my advice to anyone is - if you like the colours /mood board Sophia will bring it all together and trust the design.

Sophia at Golden Feathers did a whole house refresh for us. Ideas and designs were great, project management was strong and the whole project was practical and well executed. Time and cost budgets were good and we had things done that we wouldn’t have thought of. A very good experience.

Sophia the saviour!! I have loved every minute of working with Sophia. Attempting to make my new home my own I felt like a deer in headlights, not knowing where to start. I knew what colours I liked but that was about my limit. Sophia carefully, yet enthusiastically guided me through colour and pattern pallets and pulled out my perfect style. She created wonderful and achievable mood boards for each room and has given me so much confidence, advice and inspiration, plus a wealth of tips and tricks to help me create a house that reflects my personality and feels like home. Not to mention if I happen to have a crisis, whether it be peeling paint or which lampshade to go with, then she's always at the end of the phone. Sophia is a fab interior designer and is clearly very passionate about her job. I didn't realise how valuable an interior designer could be until I worked with Sophia. She has made the long and painful process of home redecoration a pleasure (well.....barring the extreme amount of painting).

Sophie at Golden Feathers is really good at listening to your brief and then producing the most wonderful designs. I felt really comfortable discussing my ideas with her, and she handled my challenges beautifully, producing clever solutions and a wonderful finish. What was a complicated, poorly laid out lounge, is now the perfect place to relax and chill out!

Sophia has been an enormous help and support as we have been working to make a quirky old Kentish house our own. She has always had helpful suggestions to make as we grapple with the many problems facing us and is excellent at conceptualising a finished room so that we know what we are working towards. I felt that Sophie listened to my ideas and came up with the most beautiful bathroom for me which ticked all my boxes and still kept it functional for a family of five.
