I recently had RAS Construction carry out a full renovation of the entire downstairs of my home, including transforming the living room, hallway, downstairs toilet, and creating a completely open-plan kitchen and living space—and I honestly couldn’t be happier with how everything turned out. From the very first conversation, they made me feel completely at ease. Taking on such a big project felt quite daunting at first, but their professionalism and clear communication really helped settle any worries I had. They took the time to listen to what I wanted, offered helpful suggestions, and made sure I felt confident in every decision along the way. What really stood out to me was their attitude throughout the whole process. Nothing was ever too much trouble—no matter how big or small the request, they were always happy to help and find a solution. It genuinely felt like they cared about getting everything just right, not just finishing the job. The quality of the work is absolutely superb. Every part of the renovation has been completed to such a high standard, and you can really see the attention to detail in every room. The open-plan space they created has completely changed how we use our home—it feels brighter, bigger, and much more suited to everyday living. On top of that, they were a pleasure to have around. The whole team were friendly, respectful, and incredibly tidy. They kept disruption to a minimum and always made sure things were left as clean and organised as possible at the end of each day, which made a huge difference while living through the renovation. Overall, I’m so grateful for the work they’ve done. It’s completely transformed our home, and I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend RAS Construction to anyone looking for a reliable, skilled, and genuinely hardworking team.

RAS did a superb job for us. They carried out an extensive top-to-bottom refurbishment of our double-fronted Edwardian house. This included an extension, new windows, new kitchen and bathrooms, remodelling of the bedrooms as well as full inside and outside redecoration. Sorin oversaw the job and Andrei was the project manager. They were really helpful throughout. Nothing was too much trouble. The teams, covering all trades, were skilled and friendly. The nine-month refurbishment ran precisely to budget. The job did take quite a bit longer than the initial estimate but this was reflected in the very high level of finish throughout. We have a beautiful new house thanks to RAS and our lovely architect Irene Casajuana.

RAS helped us realize our kitchen and extension renovation, creating a true heart of our home which we absolutely love. Working with Sorin, Andrei, Alex and the rest of the RAS team was a proper design and build collaboration, where they really took the time to try to understand our design vision and, when they understood it, offered great suggestions when they saw them as ways to improve it further. We really appreciated that they cared so much about their craft and our project as much as we did. As with any good contractor, you do need to have a good set of information and clearly defined scope to start from, but we were able to adapt along the way when required. As a bonus, RAS were incredibly wonderful to work around our cat and his route via the site, ‘adopting’ him as a mini mascot during the construction! We heartily recommend them without hesitation.

I appointed RAS to do a full and complete renovation to my house and the outcome including the day to day experience was nothing short of “Outstanding” . I strongly recommend RAS with my eyes closed. You give them a rundown house and they give you back an amazing home.

I am very pleased with the work Sorin and his team completed to do a full renovation on my two-bed flat. The work and finish was done to a high and exacting standard and delivered ahead of schedule which was a big plus for my family. The quote was very detailed and I felt that he listened to all our requirements and provided helpful recommendations or options to help guide our decisions. His quote was also competitive. The project itself was led by his colleague Andrei who provided comfort, assurance and clarity on timeframes when materials would be required. The overall approach to leading the work was professional with great lines of communication so that I could maintain visibility. Sorin and team delivered exceptionally well on a fairly large project - a ground floor extension, full internal rewire and refurb across two floors with landscaping too for a house whose last refurb was back in the 80s. We did a lot of research and ran a tender for a company to deliver the work - what was remarkable about Sorin's company was: a) it wasn't the cheapest bid - but it was the best-costed and best prepared. We used another company to deliver a loft conversion before this job - big mistake. They went about £20,000 over budget, were very dishonest and it felt like they were cutting corners a lot. For a job this size, it's remarkable that Sorin's team delivered exactly on budget. My advice to anyone researching companies would be - if someone is costing way under most other companies they are probably not being honest with you. The terms of work Sorin specified made it really clear what the protocol was if we needed to change what we were delivering compared to the plans, and when we did add some things along the way or change them this was a really smooth, well communicated process clear to both sides. b) the team gave us an estimate of how long the build would take - between x and y - and delivered exactly within this window. Sorin's dedicated project manager Andrei made such a difference to keeping things on track - having done projects without a project manager, I now see that lots of the common problems and stresses that come up in building projects are nipped in the bud by a good project manager. c) communication was excellent throughout the project, and the team Sorin uses were well disciplined, courteous and considerate - it was a well maintained site, safe, tidy and orderly the whole time. They were also able to talk through key decisions and explain the rationale for why we should / shouldn't do things a certain way really well, which was incredibly helpful and really built trust. I originally heard about the company when some friends recommended it to us having had a really good experience - since completing this project I've recommended them to many more friends, and would have no hesitation in continuing to recommend them far and wide. What a find!

Sorin and his team recently completed our ground floor renovation and we are very pleased with all aspects of the job. Sorin provided us with a comprehensive and detailed quote and visited us several times to discuss our planned renovations prior to the start. This gave us the confidence to use his company. Andrei and his team worked quickly and to a high standard to deliver our project on time and within budget. All aspects of the work (including floor excavations, carpentry, bricklaying, structural work (steel beam), plastering, painting, flooring, tiling, plumbing and electrical work) were done to a high standard. The team were confident in all aspects of the build and worked hard every day to bring our plans to fruition. They took care to protect our house and ensured that we could continue to live in our home while the renovations were made. We would recommend Sorin and the rest of the R.A.S team to anyone planning a similar renovation to their home.

It isn't always you can say builders are a pleasure to work with, but it really has been a pleasure. Sorin provided a competitive and detailed quote. Andrei is an excellent project manager, right people and materials on site every day, no delays. He was also mindful and considerate of us living in the house during the entire project - kids and new baby too! And the team showed up every single day, on time, and got the work done. RAS recently completed my ground floor extension, garage conversion and general renovation. They promised that I would be 100% happy and they actually delivered. The builders, plumbers and carpenters were very helpful, tidy and polite. The neighbours were happy too. The site manager was very knowledgeable on electrics, plumbing, Joinery and building works (even the building inspector was impressed). All queries were answered promptly and we were so impressed that we ended up asking them to renovate the first floor and garden too (bathrooms, stairs, bedrooms and a patio). They predicted 7 months for the ground floor and we ended up finishing both the ground floor and first floor in 6 months. Would highly recommend (and have already recommended to my friends and neighbours). We ended up with a beautiful luxury home.

Sorin and his team helped us to convert three flats back into a family home. This need up being a fairly significant project with a rear extension and extensive renovation across four floors. We are delighted with the result. The project took less than 9 months from start to finish and the team stayed on track throughout. The finish is of a very high standard and we've had lots of positive comments from friends and family. Inevitably, there have been a few things to sort on the snagging list - but Sorin has been excellent and making sure these post-project items are closed down. All in all, a pleasure to work with. Sorin and his team from RAS have done a brilliant job renovating our Georgian home. They started last August 2022 and eight months later we were able to move back in. We live in a conservation area, and every little detail had to be approved by the conservation officer. We had to match the brickwork with the original building, which they did beautifully. They knocked down the 1970s extension to build a kitchen with a bedroom above. The roof needed repairing, the gutters needed to be replaced, basically the rest of the house needed to be completely stripped out as well. They installed the bathroom and shower rooms and the with extreme care and attention and the tiling was great. Using architects / engineers plans we went from a 4 bed, 1 bath property with a small kitchen to a much larger family home. The team, run by Andrei, are super hard working, polite and friendly. They turned up on time, worked flat out and were respectful of our neighbours. We are beyond thrilled with their work.

We hired RAS for our side return extension and a complete ground floor renovation of a Victorian property in 2022 after they were highly recommended to us from several sources. And we are so glad we did. The team are professional and skilled and worked tirelessly to get us our desired result from day one to the final finish. We lived in during the renovations and couldn’t have had a better experience. Sorin and the team were absolutely outstanding and I would highly recommend them to anybody looking for a building team to do an extension or other house work. The team did two extensions for me over 7 months - a downstairs wrap-around and a loft extension. We encountered a few issues along the way, so it pretty much turned into a whole house refurb. They did the kitchen, two bathrooms, a downstairs loo, a loft bedroom. His team did a really excellent job - they were reasonable, good with communication, agile on the job, and excellent with detail. I am so happy with the build and the finish. The team have just completed on our side and rear extension. We are thrilled with the results. The workmen were here on time everyday, they were polite and disruption was minimal. They worked well with other trades and the attention to detail was superb. They custom made cupboards for utility which look great and the foreman helped us with the lighting design and customisation. We are extremely happy and would use them again

I would highly recommend Sorin and his team. Our project included a small side extension and some major internal structural works to create an open plan kitchen dinning room. RAS carried out all the works - Demolition, Structural, UFH, Plastering, Tiling, Electrical, Plumbing, Decorating, Kitchen Fitting, Joinery. They were hard working, polite and communicated well to deliver the works on time and within the agreed budget. All the workers on site were skilled and delivered a great finish. I will definitely use them again for any future projects.

Chris, and the team at RAS Construction were fantastic from start to finish. They worked hard and were very reasonable and honest throughout. They would show up on time, and work hard - meaning there were no surprises and no chasing was necessary. They consistently gave us the impression that they knew what they were doing and how to do it safely and correctly - from excavation, to demolition, to structural all the way to finishing touches. They were constantly going above and beyond, even with fussy clients like ourselves - they were always willing to go the extra mile to make us happy. They were also willing to receive payment after each completed stage, which made us feel reassured that they would finish everything to a high standard. I would definitely hire RAS Construction again for any future works. It’s rare that you come across such honest people and great builders and will be recommending them to friends and family.

Chris and his team renovated our entire house, moving walls and adding an extension and dormer. He remained in contact throughout the build and stuck to the agreed contract. One team worked at my house so that the work was completed to time frames and I got to know the team completing the job. The attention to detail was EXCELLENT and I couldn’t be happier with the finish and professionalism. I have recommended Chris to numerous others as someone that can be trusted to deliver a great job!

Extremely friendly and very efficient, so have your specs done properly and Chris's crew will nail it. They are also very understanding with changes (to a point of course) and farely flexible but with so many variables do your homework and if you don't know just ask. Andrey is always there to help.

I have used Chris and his teams at RAS Construction for complicated extensions where only half of the existing house was kept, lofts, patios, porches and landscaping ie for a variety of very successful projects. I enjoy that Chris is so accessible and his teams are focussed, very hard-working and achieve more in a day than I have seen other companies achieve which helps them achieve timing and budget. He has never gone over any budget or timing agreed which is a big statement and the finish I have on my projects is fantastic. Everyone comments on their work positively and they are very solutions-orientated and client-focussed. I have lost count of the number of projects that have come from referrals from the builds they completed with me. They are a lovely team! Even the inspector I use also has commented on the projects as being very well finished compared to what he sees everyday. One of the local estate agents said it was the best extension he had ever seen from a design (FreeSpace Design Ltd UK) perspective and finish (RAS Construction). I am super fussy being an Interior Architect and RAS have never let me down. They are worth every penny, fair, honest and experienced - highly recommended obviously! Most people I know are disappointed with their builders - I did research into 15 builders before choosing them!

Chris, Andrei and the team did an amazing renovation job on our house. From the early discussions on what is possible, to the on-going project management, through to the final execution....nothing was too much trouble, they worked hard, they cleaned up everyday and we are so delighted with the final outcome. The renovation included rewiring, replumbing, new kitchen, new bathroom, new doors, radiators, flooring and walls........all done in around 10 weeks. Competitively priced for the quality of work....we would highly recommend them as a team.

RAS Construction did a complete rebuilding job for us on a semi derelict property which took 10 months, including loft conversion, complete new roof, reordering of interior walls, kitchen, 3 bathrooms and front wall and landscaping of front and back garden including building a new Garden Studio with small kitchenette. We were very pleased with the quality of their work and the workmen were hardworking, pleasant and always on time and reliable. We have now lived in the property for 3 years and everything still working perfectly! So much so, that in February this year we asked RAS to do another project on a rental property, including new roof, front path, wall and painting of the whole house. Again they did an excellent job. We highly recommend them!
