John has done three projects for us over the last 15 years. A kitchen glass fronted stand alone cabinet. A bathroom cabinet for linens which was curled around a circular wall. And a large coat, sports equipment and wellies wardrobe with a matching dog kennel. All meticulously designed beautiful and built to last. I can not recommend Squarepeg Designs highly enough. Very easy and friendly to work with and I will definitely ask him to help me out again in the future.

Very happy with our kitchen by Squarepeg Designs. The team patiently guided us through the design process and catered to all specific requests. During the planning process, they were creative, collaborative, and flexible. They made what could have been a stressful process easy and enjoyable. The outcome? We love our new kitchen. I have used Squarepeg designs for three jobs from 2010 to 2014. Firstly to design and produce a bespoke Shaker style kitchen for an Early Victorian apartment. Because the kitchen was quite small (4m X 3m), will high ceilings, design was very important to maximise space usage. The workmanship was excellent, with the kitchen finished in Farrow and Ball Shaded white with kashmir white granite worktops. Secondly, Squarepeg refurbished a bathroom with Shaker style vanity unit. Thirdly, Squarepeg hand made panelled internal doors. Great care was taken to produce panels with the correct proportions contemporary with the property and excellently fitted. I would give Squarepeg Designs my highest recommendation

We employed an architect for major work on our Edwardian terrace house in North London in 2012. He prepared a preliminary design for a Shaker style kitchen and used the web to find candidates for finalising the design and constructing the kitchen. We wanted to find a craftsman, preferably local, who was accustomed to making kitchens to individual specifications and who could interact in the process with the architect and ourselves ---- before constructing and installing the kitchen. We chose John Ramsay of Square Peg after reviews, meetings and a visit to a kitchen designed and constructed by them. He refined the original design in discussion with the architect and ourselves, demonstrating an ability to work with client and architect, an imaginative use of space and a real perception of form and materials. He and his team were equally good at the construction and installation phases. Their craftsmanship was excellent and they made sure that they fitted in with the overall timetable. We achieved what we wanted and have a kitchen which functions exactly as we intended.

Squarepeg Designs have designed and installed our kitchen, fitted cabinets in our sitting room and, most recently, a fitted wardrobe in my son's bedroom. John Ramsey gave invaluable advice on all three designs and installation was quick and painless. We are very happy with the results.

Squarepeg built and installed a complete new kitchen for us. Throughout the design and planning process they were accessible, helpful and full of useful advice. Although the kitchen looks straightforward, the idiosyncrasies of walls, floor levels, existing pipework etc. proved quite challenging. The fact that they have made the kitchen look a perfect fit is a tribute to their skill and care. A big plus for us was Squarepeg's responsiveness to working with the builders who preceded them and their willingness to visit the site and talk through building/ utility supply issues as they arose. The kitchen is exactly what we wanted. The standard of work is very high and the installation process was smoothly managed. We were even able to make minor adjustments as the work proceeded. Everyone at Squarepeg was professional, helpful and friendly. It was a pleasure to work with them. We looked at a number of other similar companies and Squarepeg scored highly in comparison for their customer responsiveness and value for money. We have no hesitation in recommending them.

John and his team at Squarepeg Designs built cupboards with doors, shelves and side panels in solid ash for my kitchen. The wood was selected with great care so that the grain of the natural wood produced a dramatic and beautiful result. The standard of carpentry was excellent and contrived [according to my specification] so that metal fixings were hidden. Where there was any difference concerning adjustments to budget arising from variation in the initial plan, Squarepeg was receptive and fair in reaching agreement. Employing this company of craftsmen who care about the detail of their work was an excellent decision.

We are very pleased with our new custom built kitchen and walk-in bedroom wardrobes (2014). Not only is John hugely experienced but his 'elves' are also willing and proud of their workmanship. Perhaps the most impressive part of the service is the high level of after-sales service. We've had Squarepeg back again in 2017 to fit two multi-media cupboards and shelves on either side of a Victorian fireplace. Being a Grade 2 listed house, they look as through they have always been there. All three commissions were collaboratively and sensitively designed. Superbly finished, the extensive work should indicate the level of satisfaction. Highly recommended.

We were really impressed by Squarepegs website though we were initially nervous as we found them on the web but right from the start, from the designer coming out to meet with us to liaising with John, Karl and Daniel - a truly remarkable team of cabinet makers/artisans -everything was so professional, friendly and considerate. Due to separate work taking place, which made their installation complicated, SquarePeg were very flexible and accommodating while doing a top notch job. They took a small space and totally transformed it. The quality of the workmanship is second to none and the design works perfectly for such a compact space. Any follow up checks were thorough. Karl and Daniel are incredibly talented and a delight to work with. It was such a joy to see the transformation of our kitchen. Time and again, SquarePeg went out of their way to make sure even the smallest details were taken care of. I look forward to hiring Square Peg in the future.

Squarepeg have done not just one but two kitchens for us, which have been a pleasure to live with and are wearing well. The most recent was this year and it is not yet photographed to do it justice. The reason we went back to them is that they do quality, made to measure work at a reasonable price, and the team are easy to work with. We'd happily use them again.
