This was my first experience collaborating with an interior designer to create a room. Having purchased the house a couple of years ago, I had already updated the ensuite to my stepson's bedroom. Now 17, he needed a room that suited him and set the tone for the rest of the house. It was essential to start making decisions about flooring, fixtures, and fittings that would affect the entire home. Expert help was invaluable. Liana developed the design concept for the wardrobes and shelving after I shared some of our preferences. She crafted a fantastic design and guided me in making bold choices on colours and thoughtful decisions on fittings and fixtures, which will influence the rest of the house's design. Liana didn't just handle our design; she also managed the contractors, taking a lot off my plate. We shared details of our preferred contractors, and Liana oversaw the project management seamlessly. Her system allows you to choose products from a curated list, simplifying decision-making. The result is a room that perfectly meets my stepson's criteria, including his preferences for LED lighting. Liana suggested additional storage solutions and selected fabulous furniture pieces and a beautiful lighting pendants. She is incredibly responsive, organised, and detail-oriented—qualities essential for both aesthetics and functionality. Thanks to Liana's excellent design, we are thrilled with the outcome. The room looks fantastic, works well with the ensuite, and has certainly influenced how we will finish other parts of the house.

I have worked with Liana at LMK studios on the layout and design of our house after deciding to extend and remodel the property. Due to our house being in Dulwich Estate (Stradella Road) our architects did not secure planning permission for the exact layout we wanted. This left us with a few awkward spaces. Liana was amazing at suggesting different layout ideas for both the kitchen area and the bedroom/bathroom layouts. She even managed to think of a clever way to fit in a downstairs cloakroom that we didn’t think would be possible. Liana thinks creatively and has a good eye for style. Given her technical background she is also great at advising on the art of what is possible while flagging any items that may be large contributors to cost. She was very patient and flexible with our constantly changing brief and came up with beautiful but practical ideas. I would highly recommend her!

Huge thanks to LMK Studio for helping us redesign an incredibly awkwardly-shaped loft bedroom with sloping roof angles and a dormer window, in order to update the look and maximise storage. We have been scratching our heads but she has effortlessly conjured some creative, practical and workable solutions - all with an eye to cost. I am so excited to see how it will change! She has been extremely hands on and helpful in liaising with trades for quotes and giving advice. Her background in engineering coupled with her aesthetic sensitivity is a winning combination.
