Designer Kitchen by Morgan

If you’re in the market for a new kitchen or utility room, Darren is the person for the job. If you are looking for something just a little bit different design-wise from the usual and a premium product that oozes class, then I couldn’t recommend Darren enough. After coming across a kitchen a couple of years back on Instagram that struck a chord with me, I took note of Darren’s name and decided that if I was ever in a position to have a top quality kitchen, that I would go to Designer Kitchen by Morgan. Darren was the first person I called on the phone to set up an appointment and from the very first conversation his absolute politeness and professionalism came across. He swiftly set up a time & date date to meet me. As one thinks they should do, I made a couple of additional calls to 2nd choice firms who would not have a reputation for delivering a product as high end or with as much quality, albeit still very nice kitchens. I was instantly deterred from their approach on the phone; they didn’t exhibit the same warmth or welcome that I received from Darren and ultimately I cancelled those meetings before I even met Darren. From the first meeting in his studio I was taken aback again by his approach; he was immediately someone I knew I could work with on what would ultimately be one of the biggest features of our new build project. Not only was our kitchen going to be the centre - physically- of the house, but I also wanted it to be the central feature of the house - the one room that stands out. He listened to my brief with open ears and made suggestions as we went on. He offered a number of design specs in computer generated images to allow me to see it come to life. Darren was always responsive, whether that be on the phone or via email. He is fully available to you as a client during the life of your project even when you know he is dealing with multiple projects in various locations, many of which may in fact be monetarily more in value. I genuinely felt that my project was every bit as important as any of his others and always received ample attention. After pondering some aspects, I sometimes had changes and he was always prepared to work and adapt to those changes - and never once made me feel an inconvenience for doing so: working with Darren is truly a collaborative effort. His design ideas and personality make for an exciting partnership and that is delivered by a class on-site team who were again completely professional and respectful during the installation. Darren has continued to impress me with his approach to aftercare where I had a small amendment that I wished to make (which was ultimately one that Darren had suggested in the first place!) and, again, it was no issue to him. He spoke at length with me to ensure that it was the right one and worked with me to deliver it as soon as possible. We now have a truly beautiful and practical kitchen that a number of people have commented on. It is a mix of traditional grey painted cabinetry with dominant cornicing, with a modern patina grey smokey oak island with Quartz Silestone Lagoon worktops and brass knobs with brass tap and Belfast/butler sinks. The utility room, which Darren also done, is such a feature in its own right. We won’t hesitate to work with Darren on some future projects we have lined up in the next year as we continue to finalise the interiors of our new home. Thank you Darren and team. After three years of weighing up the pros and cons of amalgamating our kitchen, utility and dining rooms into one large space, we embarked on a journey of listening to opinions, advice and ideas. These ranged from "you're crazy!" to " that'll be great!" When inundated with lots of suggestions and opinions, one can lose sight of the ultimate goals that provided the impetus for change in the first instance.We wanted a family friendly, practical space which neither would isolate the hostess nor make servility a prerequisite in cooking a meal! Our dining room was a lovely room but only used once or twice a year. The kitchen was dark oak with a wooden ceiling which did not lend itself to a bright airy space. The utility room was a large room with a smaller area behind it. It made sense to include the utility room in our plans and revamp the smaller room into a utility space. There is a wonderful view of the countryside from this area and we wanted to embrace the changing seasons by being able to gaze at the white blanket of winter from the warmth of our kitchen to being able to embrace the life of spring and joy of summer by having direct access outside. At this stage, we approached kitchen designers before we did any of the building work as we felt we needed guidance before we demolished any walls. On meeting Darren, we were incredibly impressed with his passion, energy and vision. Darren was able to provide a full design, installation and project management service and suggested that his builder, Chris Lennon, should become involved as this would help him control the seamless transition between old and new kitchen. Darren, Chris and the entire Designer Kitchen install team were a pleasure to have in our home,notwithstanding the high standard of the workmanship and dependability. Aesthetically, the kitchen is beautiful.The island unit is the centre piece. The recessed lighting complements the white and grey tones of the beautifully constructed, hand painted units.These, in turn, provide a striking contrast the polished walnut cylinder unit and walnut drawers. White wooden panelling on the walls and architraves add to the luxurious feel in the kitchen. A casual seating area completes the setting. Our kitchen has been fully operational now for two months. The design lends itself fully to both great entertaining and day to day living, with the dining room now in daily use. Elements such as the quartz worktop ( great surface for rolling pastry!), the larder cupboard with internal lighting and pocket doors, the warming drawer and the Quooker hot water tap contribute to the great functionality of the kitchen. The light that floods in from the new patio doors and picture window ensure that even on a dull day, the kitchen is bright and airy. i cannot recommend Darren, Chris and the team highly enough as the design and quality of workmanship allowed the whole project to be completed to a standard which exceeded our expectations.

New kitchen and Dining room designed by Darren Morgan, Excellent reliable service provided, Extremely capable, trustworthy staff removed old kitchen and fitted new kitchen and dining room with little intrusion to the rest of the house. Designer had innovative ideas both with style and colours. He provided a kitchen and dining room which took into consideration my family needs and the space available. From the first meeting with the Designer to completion all deadlines were on time and I felt as if I was the only person having a new kitchen and dining room installed. I have already recommended Designer Kitchen to some friends for their upcoming projects.

Occasionally in life you come across a person with the gift of turning ideas into reality in such a way that you almost think your idea was a dream and what you're left with is a dream fulfilled. We met Darren through a word of mouth recommendation from friends who he had worked with in late 2013. We had probably visited 5 or 6 kitchen showrooms, had at least 3 designs drawn and on each occasion had cold feet for one reason or another. Darren made us a very simple offer to try and turn our ideas into a design which would be functional, affordable and beautiful and boy did he achieve it. Our friends had also recommended that we allow Darren to project manage the entire project which we did and that was the next good decision we made as Darren smoothed out all the wrinkles and de-stressed the job from start to finish. The result is simply stunning and we can hardly stop looking at it. Money is hard earned for us all and we can honestly say this is the best money we ever spent! We weren't paid to write this like some actors on TV, this is from the heart - don't hesitate to allow Darren and the DK kitchen team deliver on you dreams.

A good designer will present you with a great design but an excellent designer will listen to you, take your ideas onboard and then present you with something that exceeds what you imagined while delivering everything you needed even if you didn't realise it. I have dealt with Designer Kitchen by Morgan on a number of projects and have always found them professional and inspired - i look forward to working with them again and highly recommend them.
