We love the overall look and feel of our flat! The rooms are beautiful spaces for us to relax and welcome guests. We found that the attention to every detail was exceptional, including how to optimise the space for our needs. It's been fantastic working with everyone at Malt from beginning to end. Our project was quite challenging because of planning and building delays but Lisa and her team did her very best to keep the project on track and complete this successfully despite the challenges that we faced. I feel very lucky to have secured Lisa to work with me on my house refurbishment. I had lots of ideas but no idea how to implement them or organise it all - and Lisa was like a fairy godmother, project manager designer all rolled into one. She did the most fantastic digital renderings of my house so we could play around with the look, which was brilliant. Lisa works super hard, seems to know absolutely everything about interiors and construction, and never lost her cool, no matter how stressful things were. She knows all the best tradespeople and retailers, which makes everything so much quicker. She was always available to help, to answer queries, and would always go the extra mile to make sure things got done correctly. I would not hesitate to recommend Lisa - anyone who manages to book her is very lucky indeed!

I engaged Lisa for the second time in 2022 after our successful en-suite transformation back in 2019. This time, the ask was to evolve our outdated bedroom. We still had the wardrobes of the previous owners in place which started to come out of the wall, and the place generally lacked character, especially being right next to our gorgeous bathroom. And voila - Lisa did it again! I cannot recommend her highly enough; we absolutely love the end result with the bespoke built-in wardrobes, new carpet, lighting, chest of drawers etc. She meticulously chose every piece, including the little detailed ones such as the light switch and doorstop. She found all the different trades required to do the job and coordinated it all. She doesn't stop until absolutely everything is perfect. Her communication approach is second to none and she remains calm when there are little hick-ups along the way. Thank you so much Lisa!!

Lisa completely transformed our garden maisonette in Primrose Hill. We wanted a flexible, stylish yet easy to maintain design and Lisa worked incredibly hard to achieve all of this. Our home is full of thoughtful but attractive features that she came up with to make the space work as hard as possible for us e.g. the Murphy bed that turns our home office into a double bedroom for the occasional guest, the wood paneled feature wall that doubles as noise insulation… I could go on! I would not hesitate to recommend her to anyone looking for help improving their living space.

TL:DR - Lisa is amazing, and I highly recommend her! I have lived in my London flat for 10 years, and had built up a long list of things that I wanted to change to maximise and optimise the space, but I didn't know where to start. Designers intimidated me too because they all seemed to focus on luxury and high end properties. I wanted quality but did not want to overspend. I found Lisa through a Facebook group - she was recommended by a builder she works with. I looked at her website and was instantly attracted to her style, her openness to working within more modest budgets, as well as her determination to stick to a budget. We met initially in the summer of 2021 and discussed my wish list consisting of a new kitchen, better storage, an internal mezzanine window and general redecorating. Because I was not in a hurry, we waited until some of her projects settled down before starting my design work later in 2021. In the meantime, we created a private Pinterest page where we could both post design ideas. Lisa took my ideas and brought them to life - I ended up with what I wanted, and more. She produced amazing 3D digital renderings of the space so I could more easily picture what the impact of various decisions would be, and helped me refine and optimise some of my ideas. She asked lots of questions, and quickly got the measure of what I wanted, making great suggestions along the way of things I hadn't thought about. In addition to that, on a practical level, Lisa is worth her weight in gold. I was able to take advantage of her extensive network of builders, joiners, plumbers and electricians - all of whom were used to working with her and each other so I didn't have to worry about the scheduling of what happens when. This was one of the most intimidating things for me about doing the work, and Lisa took all that stress away through her efficient project management. Lisa's network also meant that she was easily able to source appliances, lighting, furniture, windows, doors, etc - and procure discounts for me. I love my 'new' space - I couldn't be happier! We finished pretty much on time, and also did not end up with any supply chain issues - a big win during 2022. And to top it all off, the professional photo shoot at the end of the project shows off the space beautifully. Thank you Lisa!

If you need a quick summary, could not recommend Lisa highly enough. If you get the pleasure and opportunity to work with her, take it immediately. Even if you’re unsure of engaging a designer of Lisa’s experience, do it, you won’t be disappointed. Our story and experience: Back in June 2021, we became owners of a penthouse apartment which we knew needed some renovation to bring it to life, bringing it upto a standard it deserved. It was a tired looking place that was just abandoned over the years. Like a classic car, it needed some love! We had never embarked on something like this and a friend suggested we work with a designer. After sending some potential people through social media, Lisa caught our attention, both from the quality of the work and reviews. Lisa and I made initial contact and while our place was outside her typical geographical area, she made a visit to meet with us (when it was safe to do so). The first meeting left a lasting impression. No question was off limits and she quickly adapted to our rhythm, understanding what was important to us, what we were trying to do and what budget we were working with. Lisa provided invaluable thoughts, guidance and demonstrated a real sense of calm. We had several back and forths as we progressed to pinpoint the best way to work with Lisa. Again, no question was too difficult and Lisa always provided fantastic balance and openness. Eventually we agreed to work together on renovating what was a horrid little toilet room into a beautiful shower room. She listened to all the influencing factors and we built up an idea of style and what could be done. One area in particular brought a challenge in that this space was awkward. Nothin was insurmountable. No challenge too big! Lisa’s sense of professionalism, balance and calmness won the day again. We agreed a way forward, amazing digital renderings were provided, offer of using her network for the best quality tradesmen and a desire to keep within a budget. The work was executed well, communication remained consistent and open. The follow up to the closure and sign off has far exceeded my expectations from this process. I feel very lucky to have met and worked with Lisa. She took a weight off our shoulders and handled the end to end process with superb professionalism. She has a fantastic network too and clearly a highly reputable designer. The rates are competitive and you do indeed get the benefit of your investment when choosing the materials you are choosing. We worked with Lisa (Malt Creative) on a project to redefine and redesign the living space in our period (early Edwardian) terraced home. We wanted to turn a rarely used front room and dining room into a design-led living space and also create a music/play space. We also needed to redesign the hallway and guest bedroom. Lisa worked with us from the initial idea concepts through to project completion. We are thrilled with the result and the process to get there. Lisa worked hard early in the process to get to know us and our aspirations for the space and design ideas. We created and debated mood boards at length, Lisa was great at knowing when to push and when to listen, brought in fantastic suggestions that we wouldn’t have considered as well as listening and adapting to our design preferences and ideas. It was a fun and productive creative process – and it was just as effective into the build phase. Lisa was a fantastic project manager – helping us select quality contractors – keeping us protected from most of the stress of the inevitable hurdles along the way – and delivering superbly to the design. We are delighted with the result – both from a practical living space, a design that meets our vision, and the experience of the project. We would highly recommend Lisa without hesitation.

Lisa designed and project managed the renovation of our bathroom and study this year; and she was a pleasure to work with. She was well organized, and very keen to ensure that we were totally satisfied with the work carried out. She helped to guide our design choices - working tirelessly to source different, high-quality options from which to choose, whilst staying mindful of budgetary constraints. My kitchen was a complete disaster zone! I just couldn’t see what I could do with it. Lisa came over and immediately had a vision of how it could be improved and from that moment she held my hand the entire process. Lisa is super organised and she completely over saw the whole project with an incredible eye for detail, from the design to liaising with builders and stockists. The kitchen ran on time with minimal disruption which was quite an achievement considering we were in lockdown! I can’t recommend Malt highly enough and I am now enjoying a kitchen which was beyond my wildest dreams!

Lisa was recommended to us by a friend and she really did a wonderful job with the renovation of our house. She give us her ideas but was always listening to what we wanted and adjusted the proposal accordingly. She always gave several options price wise , so we could choose and stay more or less into our budget. She kept us updated of all the works and saw to it that everything was done as promised. I had an idea of what I wanted and Lisa brought my dream bathroom to life, adding creative and practical solutions to issues I hadn’t even thought of along the way. Lisa took charge from the start, she crystallised the design and managed the project from start to finish - her organisational skills are exceptional, to say nothing of her relationships with suppliers and contractors. I was travelling for work for three weeks during the project and Lisa was hands on and provided regular and detailed communication of the project status. Perhaps the best part of the experience was that I did not have to step foot into a bathroom fittings or hardware store once throughout the project. I absolutely love my new bathroom and would definitely recommend Lisa.

Lisa’s offering was exactly what we were looking for when the idea of “let’s re-do the ensuite bathroom” was born. We needed more than a plumber who could fit things; we needed someone to think with us about the best configuration of the space, someone to design it all in the right dimensions and then choose the right fixtures, fittings, colours and people to make the idea become a reality. Lisa has been nothing but fantastic throughout the entire journey; she listens carefully and integrates your thoughts into her design, is extremely efficient and on the case, eager to meet timelines, but most importantly carries a passion for these small residential projects as if they were happening in her own house. She would not stop until everything was perfect, and as a result we have an astonishing bathroom, particularly when compared to what it was before. We had a few delays along the way for various reasons but Lisa’s communication around this was spot on and the delays didn’t impact our overall impression of the work she and the builder did for us. Efficient from the start, Lisa and Malt guided us clearly through the expected process and timeline for our project, was proactive, and was on hand to deal with issues as they arose, ensuring completion of our project to a high specification. Lisa David worked on the installation of my new bathroom. I couldn't have done it without her. I'd been trying for a year to get this done but it had all felt too much with all the decisions to be made and how to put it all together. Then Lisa offered her services and I now have the bathroom of my dreams. My bathroom was small with tall ceilings. The initial meeting, Lisa and I went through what i wanted and she came up with some great ideas that no-one else had thought of (i.e. builders and friends) like moving the door to free up a wall, installing high level cupboards that she then designed and she found a firm that made purpose built doors to fit etc. I wanted to choose the items so we drew up a list of what was needed, I selected a few choices of each item in the bathroom brochures and we went through it together to finalise. I liked having a 2nd view as without it, I don't think I could have done it on my own & her knowledge/experience was invaluable in helping me decide. She drew up initial 3d sketches so I could visualise the space which was brilliant to see before I started ordering things. She knew builders who were fantastic and that removed some stress. She helped order things, source items, was always there if I had questions and would chat with the builders about what was possible as we went along finalising everything. She would challenge the builders on things to find the best way of installation, what might be possible etc. A big strength of hers is communication so she is clearly spoken and direct, trustworthy, transparent and honest. So as she said, even with all the planning, issues may occur but when 2 small issues did, that required me to make a decision, she helped me sort them easily. I don't think all tradespeople/professions do what they say when they will but Lisa did. I liked the flexibility of the service Lisa offered and I could ask for as much or as little help as I wanted. She would go and see the bathroom every few days to check all was in order and her good relationship with the builders helped the installation go more smoothly I am sure. I am delighted with my bathroom, its exceeded expectations and without Lisa, it would not be this lovely or might not have even happened. The worrying about the process was certainly much reduced. And she saved me money with her contacts at bathroom suppliers. Friends love it and some think I have extended the room given how much more I have fitted in but its just the clever design Lisa came up with. I cannot recommend Lisa and her services enough which are quite unique..
