Place for Humans

5/5 - Can't wait to build our extension now, PFH were amazing at planning stage and we are now excited to continue works with them throughout the building work.

Place for humans (Joe) has provided an amazing service for us in our house project. We had grown out of our home and struggled to find anywhere. Joe made us rekindle our love in our house, his ideas showed us what potential we could achieve in our home. Joe was very patient and supportive through our idea stage, planning and even provided our neighbours with answers to their questions and fears. I would highly recommend place for humans and look forward to continuing our journey with Joe until our project is completed.

We came across Place For Humans on Houzz when we were struggling with our current architect who lacked any vision. Following our first meeting we were blown away by the first design. He fully understood how we wanted the house to work, the niche areas for our daughters and created a modern family centric home. Joe has continued to work with us throughout all the changes we have requested. Most recently Joe went above and beyond to help our neighbours understand our extension plans. He created a pack to outline how all their concerns were mitigated and spent the afternoon getting to know our elderly neighbour to reassure her. I cannot recommend Place for Humans enough

Thank you joe for all the hard work you did for me and my family you really help out with planning after we had been refused twice before (different architects). You gave us new hope and positivity that we had thought had been lost and you believed in us enough to really want to help us achieve the space we needed for our family in our small awkward house. Place for Humans came highly recommend to us by a friend and we now recommend joe to everyone who asked who did our home. really pleased with his attitude and approach to design and problem solving, especially when planning questions and neighbour concerns surfaced joe handled it calmly and help to iron the concerns for us and ensured we didn't fall out with our neighbours in the process. Place for humans stood out to us due to their video on their website and how they seemed more relaxed and approachable. We felt comfortable speaking with joe who took the time to explain ideas and decisions in a way that made sense and in a real language that didn't confuse me or make me feel left out of the process. They placed us in the centre of the process and ensure the design was always align with air goals and desires, really making in a personal expression and kept to our speed. something we really appreciated was the time and space they gave us to look over and understand the concepts before we made any decision, we felt supported and unpressed. We didn't know what our brief was and we felt this would cause an issue for project but Place for humans sat with us and listen to us talk about our home and what rooms we like and what worked. the walked with us through our home and had us work backwards from what we liked to get a clearer understanding on hat didn't make us happy about our current spaces. This was really helpful and help us to see our home in a new light and surprised us how much we agreed on with our home. They helped create a clear brief set on our real bugbears that made sense to us and allowed the next steps to run smoothly with a clear problem to overcome - something we feel with out joe we would have probably overlooked and not resolved. Joe at 'Place for Humans' is an absolute pleasure to work with, why? He listens! Joe took the time to carefully listen to what my wife and I were looking to achieve with the renovation of an Old Coach House (circa. 300 years). He took this input, threw in his own ideas and the results, at least on paper, look fantastic. Joe also provided us with the option of using computer generated imagery to be able to visualise the final results, something we did and were very pleased with the outcome. We are very excited to start the build process once we have planning permission etc. I have no hesitation in recommending Joe and 'Place for Humans' to other people given our own extremely positive experience.

Wow I have just heard “place for humans” has won an award,this is no surprise as joe is amazing not just at his job but as a person. he is so positive and caring no matter when I email or ring he always has time to talk and discuss things and explain everything clearly. (I have no idea how he finds all his time) It is very hard to find people that go above and beyond but joe excels at this.we are truly greatful. The work he has done for our planning issue has blown us away. We call him “GOD” in our house as he has rescued us from a tricky planning issue. We will never be able to thank joe enough for what he has done when times seemed gloomy he came along like a ray of positive sunshine and has worked with us listening to all our worries and concerns. Excellent service delivered everything we wanted from initial design to full support on building. They even took the time to do regular site visit to see if everything was as we expected. Cannot recommend them enough.

Place for Humans have been fantastic in helping us with a rear extension. Joe has arranged (COVID secure!) visits to the house firstly to understand our needs from the extension and secondly to go through the drawings. He has responded quickly to emails and always been available on the phone. We saw several architects before Joe and his friendliness, willingness to answer our questions and understanding of what we wanted done made us choose him. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend him to others.
