A New Day - Interior Design Studio

Andrew came over for a 2 hour design consultation which was hugely valuable and really helped me in deciding how to approach my home renovation. After 2 hours, I understood which colours would work for my house and had come up with a colour palette to use. Andrew furthermore was very helpful in providing recommendations for vendors to use for my project, particularly for bathrooms and soft furnishings. I'd love to work with Andrew in the future on an end-to-end renovation!

We hired Andrew at the end of our renovation process, when decision fatigue had well and truly set in. I came across Andrew's account on Instagram and started following him, even before we had decided to hire an interior designer. I absolutely loved his style and originality and thankfully he was available to take on our project. Our home has been transformed by Andrew. He was amazing to work with and really understood what look and feel we were going for by sharing just a few inspo photos. He checked in regularly as items began to arrive and chased on any outstanding orders. The whole process has saved us an incredible amount of time, energy and stress over finishing the house. We still have a few rooms left to do and we will definitely be calling on him to help us in the future. He is immensely talented. We could not be happier with the home that he has created for us.

Andrew has fabulous taste and an eye for detail. I live in the Barbican and so I had a lot of specific requirements for the design to be in keeping with the original Barbican aesthetics. Andrew was great at understanding this brief and leaning into the Barbican nuances. We embarked on a full renovation of my four bedroom flat, and Andrew managed it all from start to finish including ensuring the building work was inline with the designs. He selected all the finishes and every item of furniture. I'm loving my new flat and the decor. I have had so many compliments about the transformation. Thank you Andrew.

Andrew's portfolio stands out from many of the other interior designers on instagram. one could tell he is very much talented and have a very good understating of space/colour. I had a 2hr Design Drop session and he was very helpful!

I hired Andrew for a one-off advice session and it was WONDERFUL. Have your floorplan, list of questions, and any photos ready and then you are off with a bang. Andrew gave me his opinions on which vendors would suit me best in terms of price and quality for everything from paint to light switches, and gave overarching design advice that helped me shape a project in its earliest stages. I am incredibly grateful for his advice, which helped me focus and feel more confident about the project. And if he ever offers remote room design service in the future, please know that I am first in line because I have a kitchen to sort out next :)

Andrew has been an absolute pleasure to work with. We embarked on our kitchen renovation journey with a rough idea of what we liked but Andrew was brilliant at interpreting our brief and needs. His eye for detail and trends are close to none. He came up with two equally amazing design options - it was difficult to make a choice. With his help we made our selection and barely made any changes to his original design - we had full trust in him. Andrew was on hand to help throughout the whole process, proactively coming up with suggestions and alternatives when we needed it. Beside being a brilliant interior designer, Andrew is an all around lovely person and we are loving our new kitchen.

We can only recommend Andrew who was amazing to work with. He helped us redecorating our house and we were very happy with the service we received. From the initial discovery, through the design direction and all the way to detailed design specifications he provided us with useful tips and was very attentive. Ultimately we got what we wanted and we’re very pleased with the results.

Getting Andrew involved in our renovation was the best decision we could have made. It was a big project which made us feel completely overwhelmed so that we didn’t know where to start. Enter Andrew! We have been blown away by the results and are still basking in the many compliments. Most importantly of all, our home now works for our needs and is a place we love to spend time in. The key thing about Andrew is that he cares about your home as much as if it were his own. That means getting attuned to your needs and tastes and working with the energy and drive of about 10 people. No detail is too small for Andrew, who would happily talk taps and sockets with me when I had bored everyone else to tears. He has an encyclopaedic knowledge of what is available on the internet and we loved how his suggestions were often things we had never thought of and which occasionally challenged us in a very good way. When we were clueless he had the answers, and when we had things to say he listened. I can imagine that some designers sit in an ivory tower but he was very hands-on, visiting our site before, during and after, and communicated easily with builders and tradesmen. He also has an extensive little black book and can recommend suppliers and tradesmen where needed. I also didn’t expect a designer to be as practical as he is, working closely with timeframes and budgets. He somehow marries a artist's eye with a knack for spreadsheets and measurements. Did I mention that all this was in the middle of a pandemic? Thanks to Andrew we got our project over the line in spite of lockdowns and material shortages. Through over a year he was a pleasure to spend time with - crucially, he never lost his sense of humour. And his designs are just so beautiful. Over the last couple of years we have all learned to appreciate the importance of home. You can leave your home in no better hands than Andrew’s.

Andrew was wonderful to work with. He guided us through the process of our apartment’s makeover... helped turn our brief into a reality and gave us access to so many great ideas and suppliers. With his help, we’ve managed to transform both our inside and outside space and we’re so delighted with... and whenever anyone visits (pre lockdown), we always get the most wonderful compliments! Whilst we’re very happy in our current home, we look forward to our next move so we can work with Andrew all over again!

Working with Andrew was a real pleasure! We chose him because he had certain qualities that worked for us really well : 1. He is easy going and you feel this from the start 2. He has some great work already posted on instagram so you can easily see his beautiful work in real life 3. His way of working through visits and a questionnaire to understand our style was really great to uncover what we needed. Most importantly- he is very flexible if there is something that might not feel right for you vs forcing a style. We trusted him on a couple of things and our house is an oasis of comfort and style. Perfect place to be during lock down!

Andrew has helped us twice now, once on a smaller scale to help us prepare to sell a property, and then with a comprehensive redesign of our new home which had great bones, but horrible decor! He was able to suggest various things that we wouldn’t have considered, helped take us out of our ‘greige’ comfort zone, but also helped us to reach compromises in areas where we weren’t necessarily daring enough to go the whole hog. This covered standard colour options all the way through to fabrics and window dressing, furniture options and some cheats to quickly update an aged kitchen. Andrew is attentive to feedback, patient, and able to suggest tweaks and different options readily when we changed our minds.

We got in touch with A New Day before embarking on the renovation of our kitchen and dining space as we didn’t know how best to approach it. Andrew has been amazing to work with, and we’re so excited by what we’ve created with his support. He quickly got to grips with what we needed the space to deliver, and then presented us with ideas that went way beyond what we would have done ourselves, meaning we’ve now got something really special. Such a valuable experience, and we’re excited to now be working with him on other spaces in our home.
