Chris at Bowen Architects demonstrated a clear understanding of all our design requirements and aspirations, taking account of location, limitations and social constraints when we employed him to design our extension and get us to the stage where we have planning permission approved. From the outset, Chris showed a thorough and professional yet personal approach to achieving these goals and carried us through the planning process smoothly. Our house falls within a prominent area of the Cotswolds under both Conservation area and the wider Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty governance. Chris displayed empathy and understanding of broader planning issues and objectives and engaged in dialogue with all parties to produce amicable solutions. His knowledge of construction; technology, methods and materials prooved invaluable to bring together ideas with practicality.
