How important is it to have a garage?
Comments (5)I've got an integrated garage and as soon as we can afford it we will convert it to living space, as we've never put the car in there and it is a wasted space. Looking at your plans if I were buying it, I'd rather have the space as a playroom or a tv room as I imagine a lot of time would be spent on that ground floor by a family. Storage is very important so maybe part of the garage could be retained as a storage room that can potentially be accessed from outside as well as inside the house....See MoreHow to dress this bathroom window, overlooked but lovely view?
Comments (7)Thank you. I would prefer to keep the view out from both lower and upper panes really. I could look at a roll up blind, there isn't much room there due to the tap. Any ideas how much space I need for the fixings etc?...See MoreWhat's more important Price or Design?

Comments (11)I would put the large chesterfield facing the window (where the grey fabric chair is) and have the fabric chair at an angle in the bay (facing the fire place) with a table next to it. Move the TV from above the fireplace - I think a TV above such a lovely fire detracts from it. You could put it on the opposite wall where the small two seater leather chesterfield is. (Do you need to keep all three seats?) Put a table in front of the fire place so it brings the furniture together, making it a comfortable space rather than a waiting room feel. If you do keep the TV where it is (and keeping all chairs) I would situate the chairs closer around the fireplace as photo show above. And put a free standing unit on the small wall. Keep the wall colour light so the room is flooded with light. Look forward to seeing the end photos. Shannon...See More- 12 years ago
