How would you layout this master bathroom?
Comments (6)Hi Allegra, I see you've duplicated the post, my answer is on your first one. But, basically it's this:- When I plan, i like to try to visualise exactly what will greet me when i open the door. In this case I chose not to see either the toilet or bidet, and to give the persons using those a little privacy. ( I'm guessing that plumbing requirements dictate that the soil pipe be near to the outside wall with the window on it. ) Therefore, upon opening the door, straight ahead is the double vanity with low (false ) wall behind it ( i made mine 1.2 Metres high ), This gives way to room for possibly a small shelf etc upon which to put soap etc. It also disguises behind it, the toilet and bidet, now not visible from the door. The toilet roll holder will site on the wall on the left next to the toilet. You also have room to hang towels on the wall to the left of the basins. The bath went in the top right corner ( and drains straight through the outside wall ) . Then to the immediate right upon opening the door, a large walk in shower. The towel radiator sits between the shower and the bath and is easily accessible from both. Maybe that would work for you?...See MoreDisused Storage Space Transformed Into Stunning Bathroom
Comments (10)Hi Tamp75, we are glad you like the overall look of the new bathroom. Thanks for the love! In regards to the radiator, you have a great eye and we can certainly see how a dark grey radiator could work in this space. However, in this particular case the customer specifically requested the classic white radiator look. You may prefer something slightly different but imagine how boring the world would be if everyone had the same taste!...See MoreRelocating bathroom door or entire bathroom and kitchen
Comments (22)Thanks for all the great ideas guys! Just had the builder to view the flat and here are some updates: builder said the soil pipe seems to be straight down, but could install a pump to flush it; although the estate agent said the pipe goes from external wall at the back of the flat. Not exactly sure who is correct. the budget is likely to go between 30k-35k. I also had a measure of the current bathroom dimension which is 1.67*2.13m. and the ceiling height is 2.56m. we'll probably change the bedroom wardrobe and free up some space as well......See MoreNot much storage space in ensuite bathroom & detached .. tips please
Comments (6)If any of the walls are stud walls, you can put a shallow cupboard inside the wall, this gives just enough depth for shampoo bottles and similar (the door generally has to sit on top of the wall to give enough depth). Next to or above the towel rail might work for this. If you google “between the studs” or “cupboard recessed into wall” you will find some images. If you are ever re tiling there is probably space that could be turned into storage under the sink and even to the right of the sink behind the false wall of the shower. But it looks like it’s just been tiled so doubt you want to mess with it now!...See MoreEnsign Accessories
