hi - thanks a lot for the ideas, i would prefer to keep a window in each room ideally (idea1), and also I dont like having a bedromm close to the kitchen (idea2). what do you think of moving the bathroom between the current living room and master bedroom? Beautiful house and the garage is not that bad! Don't paint the bricks though! You would have to maintain them and paint them regularly! No need to sandblast! Just try to jet wash them... I bet they come out lovely! Then I would just paint the garage door and side gate with dark grey/ coal. Put oversized plant pots on each side, or even cheap lavender would look nice! To hide the squareness of the garage roof ( although I don't find it offensive!) grow some climbers on roof line or have a mock roof built! ( short roof which from the front, looks like there is a proper roof!) sorry if I am not clear about the mock roof!! ;-) good luck!

Style and colour looks nice and you can find many shades in the greens, blues, greys that will look good. It depends on your garden theme overall. This one was possibly made to measure so cost is a consideration. There are other options such as tall palisade gates, and louvre and slatted panels or combinations of louvre and slatted with solid panels, plus many trellis styles to top panels that are off the shelf (Jacksons, Grange, etc). I think you will find ideas here. Just consider that if people can see in (top section trellis or other) this helps the look overall and importantly aids your security. If others can see in, then they can see if anyone is in your garden who shouldn't be! As its adjacent a road, I suggest you also check your local planning regs for fence heights adjacent to a highway.
