We've used a bleach lichen in our bedroom as the main colour. We wanted a feature wall behind the bed so simply opted for the darker shade on that colour.
The bleached lichen is like a linen colour, however the dark version is more of a grey. Take a look on Dulux's website.
I think it works very well. It's the first 2 in the picture below I think (we mixed the darkest to made it a tad lighter though)
We used nutmeg white and then added this wallpaper (Cole & son- folie villandry). It works really well and adds warmth and vibrancy to the room. I plan to use the same colours in cushions.
I'm usually all about neutral colours but when you've got a great feature wall like yours, it's definitely a great opportunity to break out and be bold! If you can visualise the colour scheme you'd like your room to be in, it might help to choose. If you want pops of yellow around the room, why not a nice muted grey? Pastels are always lovely, and i've recently got into a black feature with white contrasts all around! Just some thoughts.
