Serious window dressing dilemma

This is a holiday property untouched since the early 80's and there is a privacy issue. The doors and windows are brown framed double glazed and it is a very small kitchen/diner leading into a living area. We hate the nets but need something that will flow on these windows from kitchen to living area. We have just ordered a light cream gloss kitchen with light wood worktop and taupe tiles. The rest of the decor is to be decided. Please can anyone help?

    There are numerous window treatments that could work here,such as roller blind or wooden blinds. I've attached a picture,hope it helps.

      Thanks for commenting and we had thought about blinds but because people are passing close by on a regular basis roller blinds and conservatory blinds would not be an option because they would not give enough privacy. Would Venetian blinds make the whole look a bit office like?

      It should be fine, if you think this is what would work best.
      They seem to come in a lot of different colours,or you may decide that a simple white one is right for your decor.

      You've got to bear in mind that it is nearly impossible to look into a house from outside during the daytime. Unless of course they press their faces against your window.

      I see what you are saying and agree with just the odd window - or two even, but this is such a large expanse.

      Ikea have fabric panels for windows that you can move to where you want them.

      I think we are going to try just curtains Patricia and if I still find it too open will probably go with attached Venetians. Thanks for all your input everyone.

      Hi, use a plain window film half way up the windows for instant and removable privacy once your bored with it, I can also advocate John lewis roller blinds as they have some sheer ones which will aid privacy when you are not there.

      Use reflective window film, which you can still have an unobstructed view through but no-one can see in. Then curtains at night, when the film no longer reflects ( I have used this for downstairs bedroom windows)
