Urgent advice need!!! Kitchen floor marble.
Comments (26)Many thanks to everyone! After seeing them again and laying in a right way I decided to keep then. And of course go for Cooacabana with more black in it with wavy pattern (rather than linear). These tiles cost me £17 per sqm and are a bargain for the quality that they are (getting them from abroad). Apart from the pattern they are very white which overall would keep the floor colour white....See MoreHow to choose a kitchen worktop: manmade or natural stone?
Comments (16)@NG sintered stone is like a porcelain and so the edge and the sink cut out will be plain and polished. In the same way any drainer grooves will be plain plus most sintered stone is so thin that the drainer grooves probably aren’t very deep or very effective. Speak to your kitchen designer to find the best option: Over mounted sink with drainer Flush fit sink with drainer Under mounted sink with drainer. Multi level sink with accessories that act as a drainer. Sink and drainer manufactured in the worktop material...See MoreKitchen advice please
Comments (36)My kitchen was slightly larger but needed the light units. We went with a white gloss, a wood effect dark grey laminate worktop and teamed it with walnut effect laminate flooring. The flooring really warmed the look up In my experience ... I wish I'd have had full glass splashbacks as the amount of sauce that gets splattered on the painted wall would have been easier to wipe off glass! Worth the money in my opinion. I went for white/clear as didn't want to commit to a strong colour. If we had stayed (not sold it) I would have painted around the units a colour which could have easily been changed. You could also consider a clear glass splash back (above the oven) that can be screwed on. That way you can paint or paper behind it and change it when you fancy. Usually they glue them on so you are stuck with it (no pun intended) Definitely look around for a better quality gloss unit as they can chip (sister has high street ones and they always chip!)...See MoreQuartz Counters and Backsplash
Comments (6)Book matching is something that good fabricators do. It sounds like you need a good fabricator. Although - as I understand it only certain quartz with a high price tag can be book matched. And you have to do what you are suggesting where you use more than one slab and the wastage adds to the cost. The image is of Dekton not quartz which may be an easier way of getting the result you want....See More- 17 years ago
