Looking for an opinion on this set up:

Will most likely have 2 pendant lights at comm. center and thought about a wall mounted light on the side of the cabinet over the sink.
any thoughts?

You have enough lights if your ceilings are 10' or lower. If you have a 30 degree beam spread, each light should cover approx. 20 square feet or more so you have plenty of overlap in your plan. Put them on two circuits with dimmers so you have options. Downlights are behind the work area, so someone at the counter would cast shadows. You should consider adding undercabinet lighting if feasible.

I notice you have void areas in your plan. If you want to use that space, there are great options on corner cabinets out there.

Check this site out as it is just what you're looking for! It will give you a professional lighting plan including product specification. Don't guess at your lighting as it is far too important.

Thank you very much for the help. I'll have to look closely at the lights used and the degree of spread as steff suggested. I've reconsidered placement of the sun tunnels and will definitely have undercabinet lighting as well.
I'll take a look at that sight and will also do some more internet searches on lighting tutorials.
