Need all your help with a tiny bathroom please!
Comments (21)One possible solution. It gives you the bath and shower in one unit behind the door away from the window as well as the sink and WC of course. Admittedly a little tight on plan at the end of the shower bath but your upper body and arms would be free to move over the end of the bath and into the window recess, and your feet, whether standing or sitting, would always be in front of the WC where you have more space. The sink has plenty of space around it with room for a towel rail adjacent. The sanitary where is all taken from the Ideal Standard website but you could use any manufacturer - the point is it can be done. I would also make the glazing obscure, if it is not already, by using an after market stick on film cut to size. You can get plenty of patterns or just frosted. You could also add blinds as previously suggested. Note: any proposed layout could be affected by the proximity of your existing foul water drainage - just bear that in mind....See MoreTiny Bathroom Transformation - Before and After
Comments (19)Thanks everyone! Interesting how suddenly the article gets picked up again! We actually finished renovating and sold the flat in January 2017 and bought a farmhouse in need of full renovation! Funnily enough we've just been doing more bathrooms - turning one very large bathroom into an en suite and bathroom. I've been trying to keep up to date (ish) on my blog woodenwindowsills.co.uk and there are lots of ensuite renovation highlights on my instagram @woodenwindowsills - when we've finished I'll be sure to post another before and after as this one is a completely different style, and I love it!...See MoreDesign help re super tiny bathroom
Comments (12)Hi You need to check re soil pipe - my opinion is that it is best to keep the WC as close to the soil pipe as possible to avoid unnecessary problems. You may want to opt for a free standing bath which would add glamour to the room - you can find various sizes (see link below just for an idea) https://www.victorianplumbing.co.uk/1650-x-750-luxury-modern-double-ended-curved-freestanding-bath Or Back to wall 1500x750 https://www.victorianplumbing.co.uk/orion-1500-x-750mm-small-back-to-wall-modern-square-bath?campaign=googlebase&gclid=EAIaIQobChMIqIDjyp7Z3gIVVOJ3Ch1BiQfcEAQYBCABEgLdzfD_BwE&gclsrc=aw.ds An Offset bath may allow some more flexiblity in the room as the space is rather tight. I have done two sketches - and have specifically kept away from putting the bath under the window due to soil pipe. I have proposed that you open the door outwards or maybe consider changing to a folding door as per images below If you need any further advise my design practice can help you....See MoreTiny Bathroom Layout Dilemma
Comments (9)An alternative to the long tray idea (which would be great and incidentally our old shower tray was only 760 depth and it felt plenty big enough because it was long. I would have it set into the alcoves and walk in at the door side though. ) is to put your wash basin where your olds shower was because the sliding door opening on the shower curve shouldn’t touch it or expose it. So that would give you all the floor space between the WC and the left side....See More- 11 years ago
