Will wallpaper elevate or destroy my tiny bathroom
Comments (6)Thank you all for the advice. I clearly had gone mad thinking wallpaper might fix things, but I really like the suggestions to paint the walls a darker colour. I love the dark grey/inky colours mentioned, so will investigate. Jen - I’m hoping the accessories will go some way to livening it up. I was thinking of staying with quite a muted palette, do you think that works or should I go for colour? John - you’ve hit the nail on the head, it is the expanse of white that is offputting. It gives it a seedy holiday inn feel, but I hadn’t been able to put my finger on why until now. Chloe - thank you, you’ve made me feel like it’s not all gone horribly wrong..! Comments (12)Hi You need to check re soil pipe - my opinion is that it is best to keep the WC as close to the soil pipe as possible to avoid unnecessary problems. You may want to opt for a free standing bath which would add glamour to the room - you can find various sizes (see link below just for an idea) https://www.victorianplumbing.co.uk/1650-x-750-luxury-modern-double-ended-curved-freestanding-bath Or Back to wall 1500x750 https://www.victorianplumbing.co.uk/orion-1500-x-750mm-small-back-to-wall-modern-square-bath?campaign=googlebase&gclid=EAIaIQobChMIqIDjyp7Z3gIVVOJ3Ch1BiQfcEAQYBCABEgLdzfD_BwE&gclsrc=aw.ds An Offset bath may allow some more flexiblity in the room as the space is rather tight. I have done two sketches - and have specifically kept away from putting the bath under the window due to soil pipe. I have proposed that you open the door outwards or maybe consider changing to a folding door as per images below If you need any further advise my design practice can help you....See MoreTiny Bathroom With No Windows
Comments (3)I think if you put a back to the wall toilet in and build a false wall out by 200mm in which to fit niches, you can hide your pipework and have somewhere to put shampoos etc whilst in the shower. I also think that you can fit in an offset shower tray 800 x 1000mm and a vanity of 600mm. That takes all of your room up across the back, but gives you a super shower area, with room to step out in to a big enough space in front of the toilet and towards the door. This shows the 200mm wall by the back to the wall toilet. You could start the first niche at the same height, but what i mean is, go right to the ceiling constructing something like this one. That's my shower.................and,. although you won't have a walk in like that, you can then put your shower, like this one up to the wall. Shown with actual size objects as above. Then you can fit in a full size Vanity like this one. Please note that you may also want a radiator, but there are some quite slimline ones available these days, and as your door opens outwards, there is room for one on the right as you step through....See MoreTiny bathroom layout
Comments (2)Thank you, I have tried to upload one version of the floor plan here, with measurements too. Moving plumbing is tricky as the outside wall where the window is has an extension further down below it, making it tricky for scaffolding etc. I have measured up for potentially having shower and toilet on the right, and sink straight across from the door - this leaves very little space for the toilet, however if we don't use a sunken shower tray and add a shower screen that can fold inwards it might work. Further comments appreciated!...See MoreNK interior design
