I think it all depends on the material the bedside is made of and whether it is sturdy enough to tolerate drilling into to add legs. Mayfair.co.uk does all kinds of legs you could add to increase the height. My first thought would be to find bedsides that is actually the size you need.

So, after a weekend of debate, we’ve gone for the Anderson bedside table from made.com. While I loved the round idea, I couldn’t justify the expense of the Penelope when there are some many other things to get done. I’d seen the Anderson months ago and loved it, so thank you for the reminder! Now for lamps… we’re going to wait until the tables are in before we decide 👍. Thanks Minnie and Sharon!

My kind of style! I think painted bedside tables would sit well with your bed and furniture. Are you looking for French country style as your choices are very much in that style? Here’s some I found. They’re not cheap but look lovely. The Cotswold Company sell some nice painted and unpainted country furniture which is a little more affordable.
