Comments (6)I'm glad you decided to move things around although I'm still not convinced you're planning it right. Why have wasted corners? Personally I'd want the sink by the window. I wouldn't want to be looking at a blank wall as you have a huge window. I'm aware you have to have the hob over here because of the extraction from previous memory. Are you going to use the some units or are you buying replacements? Take advantage of the floor to ceiling height and have tall units where possible. Consider using 900 x 900 L shaped corner bases in each corner. You will not get those wasted corners and by having these and using 170 degree hinges you will be able to open each door fully therefore gaining full access to each corner. Plan around these for the back wall. For instance 2 x 900L bases, plus a dishwasher at 600mm and a sink carcase at 600mm equals 3m so if you have that measurement available that's what I'd go with if you're adamant about keeping the sink here....See MoreHelp with colour for exterior render and new front door.....
Comments (16)Thank you Colorhappy, I was secretly hoping you would comment as you clearly know all about colour, something I definitely struggle with a little. I think your suggestion of a stone colour for the render and a green blue for the doors would look lovely, and I love the idea of it relating to the greenery in the garden. Do you have any suggestions for a stone colour? I have looked at F&B for the green/blue, they have a paint actually named green/blue, but I am not sure if this is too much of a literal interpretation of your advice :-) I also like the oval room blue too, do you think this could work? I love Stiffkey blue, but not sure if this is too rich/deep a colour and would end up looking dark? The front of the house faces north but still gets lots of great light, the house is elevated somewhat so it is never in shadow if that makes any difference to our choice of colour?...See MoreRender? Comments (1)We are in the process of buying this 1960s chalet bungalow in Derbyshire. Very unlike what we had in mind but it is in a great location with wonderful views! There is lots to do inside (we have a toilet in a wardrobe) but, would also like to improve the kerb appeal. In the long term we will be landscaping the drive to make space for another car, but are unsure what to do to the front to update it. The windows are in good order and don’t need replacing yet. We have considered having them sprayed & then some render, wood cladding combo. The house frontage is very flat so we have also thought about creating bay windows at some point. New garage door is definitely on our purchase list. Any advice or thoughts much appreciated. Thanks....See MoreHelp. I need colour choice help for exterior render
Comments (7)This was in 2011, when we just started renovating. Top windows are new (ral7039), walls ral9010. You see the neighbour on the right has bright white, the attached on the left some creamy tan. (Landscaping credits go to previous owner..) Don't have many new photo's, but this was a few months ago, when we had the front door and livingroom window done too (pvc): Lower edge on the wall still needs some paint.. And landscaping hasn't been done yet either, but we did take out the dug in roof tiles.. (plus we're slow renovators LOL no stress)...See More- 11 years ago
