I was in a similar situation with silvery wallpaper I ended up painting the walls very pale grey- just grey enough so that white photo frames etc. look nice on it. I have bright sunshine yellow with it to make it warmer- and thinking of adding bits of turquoise and magenta as well to make it a bit more cheery :)

I'd go with blue, white or silver gray.

White would look fab, especially if you have a wooden floor. I’ve got a very dark hall and stairs and I painted it Dulux Egyptian Cotton but it’s maybe a little dingy. A very pale grey would also work. Pick a grey you like then go a shade lighter as a dark hallway can make many greys look dingy too. Good luck.

It depends on everything else in the room. Flooring, other walls etc. Deep blues are good for disuising TV's which is always a good thing.
