Comments (4)Love those curtains! Tell us your secret shopping place? To bring back some masculinity to the room I would have a bluish quilt that comes from a blue in the curtain and the rest of the bedding white with big plump white reading cushions on top....See MoreWhat colour curtains and bedding for new bedroom?
Comments (6)I would also go for white bedding but with a bold pattern. For curtains I'd also go for linen, maybe something like the bed head to break up the walls a bit.. I liked this bedside cabinet from John Lewis (2nd pic) but it seemed to clash with the headboard but maybe you can find similar or cheaper ones like I've shown that you can paint in the same navy. I thought a pendant swagged over the bed could look nice? Perhaps add a brass mirror/s between the door and radiator?...See Moreadvice on matching colour for curtains and bedding feature wall is aub

Comments (1)What a lovely gift. The face is that of a green man. Think they were popular with the gothic revival movement so poss 19th century (think church gargoyles etc.) However the carving doesn’t look ornate enough to be Victorian somehow. Looks quite crudely done so my guess is that it’s a hand made piece. The wood looks to have some age to it tho. You could ask/email local auctioneers or antique dealers to see if they can shed more light. I’m no antique expert btw, but I’d be very happy for a present like that 😊....See More- 11 years ago
