Faux Exposed Brick Wall

We have purchased a brand new house which is obviously a little lacking in personality.

I love the industrial look and have thought about adding a brick wall in the living room using brick veneers. Has anyone done this?

Would a tiler be able to do this work or is it a special skill which needs a specific type of tiler? Any advice in terms of work involved, cost and look would be appreciated. The wall is standard height (2ft4) and is 11ft6 in length.
