Emily - Thanks for your question. It is a basic hospital curtain track recessed into the ceiling. I don't remember the specific manufacturer but it's pretty generic. Her's a link to a site:

The track is installed before the drywall and the drywall is set tight to the track. It's a little tricky for the dry wall folks but it's not a big deal and provides a clean, minimal way to accommodate a curtain were you need to.
