A few times customers have opted to paint the units we have made for them themselves, we then get a call asking us to come back and bail them out! Painting is often seen as something anyone can do, and they can, but not well, specially when it comes to painting units, not any painter can paint raw mdf cabinets! We put up to 4 coats of paint on ours! One Plan I love the mouse hole detail, would be even better with the mouse popping out! ;)

It's a transfer ! I put it on myself - the mice I ordered too were too tall ! So I Donated them to the local nursery !

Hi, I have both farrow and ball and little Greene in my house (LG on the kitchen cabinets). I've had professionals use both paints and I've also used myself. LG is far better quality IMO (and the decorators) although I really love F&B colours. The cabinets were painted 18 months ago and wash down really well. I've only had to touch up the paint in a tiny area on the fridge door and when I changed my handles just last week:) I don't know the size of your cabinets or what finish they have currently but I would expect it to be done within 3 days. Decorators are anything from £150 a day upwards obviously depending on location.

It shouldn't be but it will depend on area and if they price per job rather than daily rate but I wouldn't pay over £200 per day and we're in essex so not too far from london. We also just had 2 coats whereas people often use 3 for F&B. I used mid lead, the colour isn't accurate on screen as it has a very definite blue undertone. No pics today! Had a big party yesterday and have only done round 1 of clearing the kitchen!! In fact we've just opened the beer to aid recovery!!
