Hi, my vote would be for not having a window seat. I don't think the bay is deep enough to provide a seat or to warrant one and I think the room would feel cramped. You have a gorgeous living room and if you really needed to fill the space I would add something more practical such as a small round (thus mirroring the bay shape) foot stool. I could be used as a side table, coffee table and of course for it's purpose. It can be pulled out or left as is and wouldn't add bulk.

Internal difficult to get on my phone sorry. The wall at the end of the bannister rail is coming out and the landing will return . The right hand window on the exterior vie is in that toilet. The house was divided in two with a garage conversion and we are putting it back to one house. TIA

Looks like the majority is for window and my partner really wants one so just got to decide on size, love the photo and given the inspiration to sort that area out, we are replacing the paving slabs and won't go all the way to the wall so can plant some shrubs and maybe even a small tree to help make it look prettier, thanks for all comments, great forum as usual - onto my next dilemma which will be posting soon, many thanks all for taking time to reply, Lawrence
