I am moving into a grade 2 listed mid terrace stone cottage with brick walls, low ceilings, small windows. The property had an elderly couple in it for the last 35 years who were using night storage heaters on economy 7 (plus living room working open fire). I was going to upgrade these heaters to more current ones, but my electrician has now suggested I consider infra red heating instead (which could be hung on ceilings or walls to offer more room space and apparently can help reduce damp, not that this is a big issue at present) Can anyone give me an opinion or advice (I assume infra red does not run on economy 7!) or suggest any other options as oil/gas not possible. thank you!
