Help with kitchen colours

Hi, I really need some advice about kitchen colours. I've had a new kitchen extension built and the kitchen is ready to be installed. I've chosen viscount white granite ( photo attached). I'd like a warm grey colour scheme. I've been into farrow and ball and they suggested moles breath for the island cabinets, elephants breath for the remaining cabinets, skimming stone for the walls and strong white for the woodwork. I'm considering hickory paprika karndean on the floor. The cabinets are in frame shaker with knobs and drawer pulls in chrome. Would this work? Does anybody have these colours in there kitchen. Comments (5)We've got a mid grey floor and I have a toddler (they're about equal with dogs for mess!) It works very well and we're about to move and do another kitchen, it sounds as if I'll be having similar colours to you and I will definately be going with the grey flooring again! To create a bit of interest I am going to invest in some really smart tiles for the splash back, I'm thinking pearlescent, light reflecting in similar colour to the cupboard doors but with lighter shades too and possibly a geometric pattern. I will then add interest to the ktichen with smart lighting and artwork and a really cool blind for the window. Just thought I'd share this info and hope it helps. Comments (9)White/cream would be really nice, I'd be a bit cautious with having brown, cream and cranberry as it could end up looking a bit heavy with colour tone's as none of these colours will be prominent enough to break up the brown from the worktop and the floor. Not sure if I've explained it too well, let me know! Also I'm not sure how much research you've done with wood worktops yet but they do involve a fair amount of maintenance in comparison to a quartz worktop. Regular oiling is needed to avoid getting stains and the walnut going black around the sink. That being said it really is a beautiful worktop material to have in the kitchen, incredibly eye catching and very classical too. Granite and quartz are both stones but that's really about where the characteristics of them - granite needs sealing to avoid any staining or scratching or the surface, however it does take a lot of effort for that to happen. Quartz is granite with all the 'negative characteristics' taken out of it - it's lighter, it's scratch and stain resistant and generally a little bit more durable.
