Carefully boxed, beautifully displayed or stashed away under the stairs - how do you display your shoes?

Best shoes in boxes in the wardrobe. Everyday shoes on a rack at the front door.

I have a pair of sparkly gold shoes that I only wear about once a year and the rest of the time they are on display on a shelf! The rest of my every day shoes are tucked out of sight in a cupboard by the door.

I won a bike in a competition just before Christmas ,but due to a knee problem I'm unable to ride this beautiful prize . I knocked down my shed last summer due to its age so now have nowhere to store my bike . It's in the hall , has to be negotiated around , I'm reluctant to sell it as I want to ride it !! I live in a terrace so back access is complicated and due to the knee problem I can't haul it up the front steps !! New house needed .... for me and my bikey !

How do you store jumpers?

I have some jumpers hanging on hangers, then they get lumpy bits in the shoulders. I have some jumpers folded, but they tend to get crumpled. Does anyone have a better way of storing such items?

We keep all of our sharp knives in their own drawer, which has a magnetic bar to keep them in place and to stop them from rubbing on each other and losing their edge. I can't bear too much clutter out on the worktop. Besides, if a murdering maniac bursts in, I don't want to make it too easy for him. I'd like to think by the time, he's opened all the drawers to find the knives, the police will have arrived. LOL

Under-the-stairs cupboard opens directly opposite the front door. Storage for paint tins etc. I reverse the bike in; its back wheel fits snuggly into the back left corner, and by turning front wheel 90 degrees so it fits across the cupboard, the door shuts.

I accepted that storage for me had to be about swiftly chucking things into a box, rather than lengthy tiding away - and had a large box built by the front door which doubles as a seat. It's a mess inside but no one can see!

On a pile in the hall since there is usually no space on the shoe rack!
