The varnish may fade over time and you will need to redo it at some point. Are you sure that it was varnish and not woodstain? You can buy garden fence paint which comes in many different colours. I used Cuprinol Garden Shades (similar paints are available) in a pale colour on a shed that had previously been stained dark green and it looked much better.

I accepted that storage for me had to be about swiftly chucking things into a box, rather than lengthy tiding away - and had a large box built by the front door which doubles as a seat. It's a mess inside but no one can see!

forzaitalia- You should complain to the store that supplied the mattress - tell them that you want them to take up your case with the manufacturer and offer to email them pictures to support your case. Tell them that you want the manufacturer to refund the store the cost of the mattress so that you can purchase an alternate from them. Memory foam mattresses polarise opinion- before you buy one consider getting a topper made from the stuff. Personally I find them uncomfortable and too hot.
