Kitchen Dilemma
Comments (5)Dear Nimmy, Exciting project. I think keeping the utility as it is and putting the pantry in the thin part of the kitchen which you walk through to access the utility is the way forwards. Using that area as a main part of the kitchen for cooking is a very lonely place, even if you have opened up the space. It will then mean that because all your storage is taken care of, you don't need an enormous kitchen in the kitchen/diner, leaving plenty of space for a family kitchen table. Comments (7)My approach to resolving these sorts of things is to give the salesperson/store you bought from a couple of chances to solve the problem and then escalate.. If you have tried all reasonable efforts to resolve it with that store, I would then escalate to their main customer services/complaints department at HQ. You’ll likely need to give them a couple of goes to resolve it. If all else fails, and assuming you paid some/all with a credit card, I would then file a claim with your card company for compensation. Don’t end up in a protracted fight with the salesperson or store because it’ll drag the problem out, add to your stress and not actually give you the outcome you’re looking for I hope that helps. Try not to stress over it too much, it looks like you’ve got a lovely kitchen with some fantastically bold colours and I assume is 99.9% complete?...See MoreKitchen dilemma
Comments (8)Green it is then! There are some gorgeous soft greens out there. To flow through from a grey/brown tone in the living room then go for a green with a similar undertone. So if your grey/brown has a yellow undertone than aim for that or if it is more of a cool blue undertone then match to that. Do get a couple of tester pots and try them out as they will look very different on the walls by the windows in comparison to the wall by the units due to the light in the room. Good luck and do share an after pic!...See Morenatural colour kitchen dilemma
Comments (11)We're just doing our kitchen in the same theme, Nordic oak island and possibly stone grey colour cabinets for the run. Have you looked at DIY kitchens? They do bespoke colours but without the massive price tag. We're doing this so then we can afford the Nordic oak island which is a silly amount of money but absolutely love it! We had quote from magnet but DIY kitchens was a third of the price!...See More- 10 years ago
