Ideas for new home?
Comments (4)It's a great space you have there. I actually quite like the painting and think the colours go well with your furniture. I would put the picture on a different wall and put the mirror above the fireplace instead. I would then introduce some colours from the painting (if you can be persuaded to keep it!). Warm oranges and mustard yellows would look great with the sofa and the wood. some scatter cushions on the sofa and perhaps a rug in the same colours would go well. Regarding the window, I think its a shame to cover any of it up as it's a beautiful bay window. I would go with recessed roman blinds in a lovely warm fabric in the colours above. I would paint the walls a warmer shade like Farrow and Ball 's Lime White. Hope this helps, good luck!...See MoreTo go blue or not?
Comments (17)Hi there, the blue looks great, good choice! If you opt for blinds our Roller Blinds or Pelmet Roller Blinds would be ideal for you as the fabrics can be easily swapped without remeasuring or even removing the system form the window. You could opt for a neutral roller blind like Natural Linen to start but if you fancy a change later you could swap to the pinkier tones you mentioned like Shell or Coral or even something bolder from our Designer Collection such as Rosbeg seen below, which would be a real statement piece and compliment the blue wall. Feel free to visit our website blocblinds.co.uk and order free samples so you can see how they look with your room's lighting. Comments (4)Hello. I'm not sure if I am in right place but I just didn't find a topic about DYI windows blinds so maybe it would be useful not only for me. I and my wife after a year finally finished our home rework. Of course, there still is a lot of work to do, but at least now we can live there :huray: . The first thing that annoys us a lot is disturbing morning sun. We can't get enough sleep, because of it. So we started looking for windows blinds. So far we decided that we want roller blinds. But after long research, we find out that there is an option to get customized blinds and even create our own. There is one of the links where you can do it: https://www.blindsonwindows.com/diy-roller-blinds. So now there is a question, is anyone has tried it, or something similar and maybe could share their thoughts about quality and is it even worth it?...See Morecurtains or blinds????
Comments (12)Hello Hayley, What a lovely alcove! I second on the curtains. Dusty pink or coral would look lovely with that green. Velvet would be so lush. You could also consider using a faux suede. Kirkby Design has just launched an easy clean range with beautiful colours. It could add a more modern touch. https://www.kirkbydesign.com/collections/tone...See More- 10 years ago
