Hi Hayley, there is probably enough wood with your lovely parquet flooring. The downside of long curtains is that when pulled they will block off your radiator. You could consider a Roman blind, or alternatively dress curtains with a pleated or roller blind as the ‘working’ window treatment.

Curtains and to the floor if you want regardless of the radiator. I have long curtains in my lounge covering the radiator which still forces heat up and over the top of the curtains. If you’re using it as a bedroom anyway then you’ll not be drawing the curtains until late at night so the room will already have warmed up.

Hello Hayley, What a lovely alcove! I second on the curtains. Dusty pink or coral would look lovely with that green. Velvet would be so lush. You could also consider using a faux suede. Lovely alcoves with a splash of colour! I like long curtains also as it would add some colour to the wall as well.
