Please help
We are building our new house and now stuck with kitchen design
Kitchen size is 440x 400
I would like to keep the stove on left wall facing the family living and refrigerator on the right side.
My biggest concern is the fridge size ( lg. 4 door 1797x91.2x92.3(HXWXDmm)
Where should I keep it , if I keep it on the right wall as in 3D image how can I access the corner shelf
I don't like the open shelves as in 3D image
Can I do a corner pantry there
Or any other suggestions on refrigerator position
Please help

Hi,

I agree. The fridge is in the wrong position and those shelves in the corner won't be particularly useful, and will be difficult to access. I think, from looking at your measurements, that there isn't enough room to put the fridge to the right of the window on the same wall? If not, I think I would put it at the other end of that window wall, and then put a base corner unit and wall cupboards on the other end (where corner shelves are on your 3D plan). This will look a lot less cluttered.

hi, my sister in law has a very similar sized kitchen to u and shebhasbso much storage she even has empty cupboards!! she put her sink infront of the windowbwith the hob opposite, to the left of the hob shebhas a tall unit with her ovens in it and the otherside she has her fridge and then 2 base units and 2glass display wall units. on the far wall to the right of her sink she has wall units, and to the left of her sink she has a stretch of worktop similar to ur plan which leads to a peninsular island that steps down from her worktop height to create a table. would love to see some pics of what plan you go with and the finished result

Hi Warren, Often we'll find clients get three quotations (thus ideas/designs) from similar like-minded companies... of course helping them align the budget they ideally require. But as mentioned above, it also allows you to understand where some simple changes can be made to start reducing the overall cost, we know how quickly these things can escalate and the feeling of cutting too many corners isn't a welcome idea to most. How are you or a cleaning person if you are lucky enough to have one going to clean the centre of the island? Mine is not as deep as yours and I cannot reach the middle. The island is too large and really dominates the space. I think you may even have space for two islands as it is a generous area? On the plus side its a great size kitchen and I feel you need some glass or something to lighten it up a bit. The black is very dominant. Consider another material for your island worktop as you do not have a hob or a sink inset. You have a lot of worksurface so could get very creative with your choice. I would consider swapping some of the black full height units for white or a wood effect just to soften it a liittle bit. You could have a curved worksurface on the island too. Are your units handleless? If not consider brass or a metal for handles just to lift the overall feel. In this case a lighter splashback would also help to bring light in.

Hello @zahi,

A corner pantry where there are currently open shelves is definitely an option - this would also free up some space as there are some great options for maximising corner space with concave drawers, or additional non-slip shelves on the door of a pantry. Can you pls suggest how the corner pantry should be done/ access door , because of the big size of the refrigerator ( 92cm depth)
Really appreciate if you could suggest a layout
