Matt or Gloss kitchen
Comments (19)I think it depends on the style of the kitchen and the colour - having a traditional style of kitchen with units and a more traditional layout may not suit gloss as well a sleek modern design and a white or more neutral colour. There obviously exceptions to the rule like bright orange! Great it gloss streamlined but try it on a matt shaker!!! ;) Therefore, like it most things in interior designs, everything is based on balance and complementing every element to create your over all look :)...See MoreWhite kitchen - Matt or gloss? Comments (15)You have all been very helpful, I think on balance I am leaning toward Matt, I have looked back at my insipration photos and the majority are matt, coupled with potential issues with keeping gloss clean and marks ..... and the genius idea from daisy England of those magic sponges to tackle Matt marks, I think I have myself a decision! However when the light shines at a specific angle you can see the marks and they are a sod to get off. I use a magic eraser and it works ok but they’re not really suitable for big areas so I resort to a Spontex cloth soaked in soapy warm water, wipe over and buff up with a microfibre cloth. Sometimes though you can still see marks. In my caravan I have gloss doors. Easy to clean. Easier than super matt. Both doors I have are handleless so I try to not push the actual door but use the ledge provided. If you’re just looking for a slab door which can be reproduced by companies who have the appropriate machinery there is now a board available that has fingerprint technology. It’s called Serica. It relatively new and has 12 colours to choose from....See More- 10 years ago
