Would you consider a natural stone or a porcelain like Dekton? Dekton have some really beautiful colours that lean more cream and would work really well with your existing kitchen. Honestly, I’ve been hearing Monolux mentioned quite a lot recently as well, especially from people doing kitchen refurbs in the Midlands. I haven’t personally used them yet, so I can’t give a proper long-term review, but I did spend ages looking through their site and project photos when we were comparing quotes. From what I saw, the finish on the quartz and the joints actually looked really clean compared to some of the cheaper companies we checked. A couple of the before/after installs looked surprisingly professional for the price point, too.

When we sold it looked new. I also had Birch Ply Formica in my utility which had a nice striped wooden edge, more costly but still less than Quarz.
