I think wood effect worktops work best with cream kitchen units

I did think that but im not keen on wood effect 🙄😂. only other one i like is caladiera i think . copper tones but on the darker side again that i want to get away from

I don’t think white and cream blend well together. Makes it look as though one of them is off colour. Agree with Sarah that a wooden tone would offer the best results but like you I’m not a lover of wooden worktop finishes. There are 100s available. Look online at Formica, Kronospan, Egger, Omega, Odyssey etc. most will offer you a postal sample.

White and cream are too close together to be a good match. If you are set on white quartz, I have the zodiac compac one with sparkly bits (I inherited it), then consider if you would paint your units another colour? If your kitchen was green, grey or another neutral rather than cream, even greige that would look better with white quartz. Or quartz effect depending on the budget. What colour is your floor as we can't really see it? That is another factor to consider.

We did consider painting the units but to much work . ive ordered some samples from worktop express beigy tones and a copper tone . so many grey and dark tones around at the ninute. 🤞il find one to suit

Would you consider a natural stone or a porcelain like Dekton? Dekton have some really beautiful colours that lean more cream and would work really well with your existing kitchen. Quartz worktops (particularly white :/) are actually a lot less stain resistant than what suppliers lead you to believe, and also can chip quite easily on the edges.

Unless Dekton has dramatically come down in price I remember it being absolutely eye watering when I worked in kitchens many years ago.

The sparkle laminate worktops tend to be a gloss, the downside to the gloss worktops is they scratch easily

Its been a long time coming , finally finished updating the kichen m painted the units in rustoleum sage green , white sparkle worktops , and a granite composite sink which i love , new white cooker , so much easier to keep clean than stainless steel , feels like a new kichen😁

Looks fantastic, big difference to the first pics you posted, I bet it does feel like a new kitchen, really like the new colour of the doors, trims etc, and the matching blind, works so well with the new white sparkle worktop.
