This will depend on the thickness of the new wall compared to the thickness of the old wall that will be removed. If your old wall is a cavity wall it is likely to be similar thickness to the proposed new wall - so although you will lose that thickness on the new wall, you will actually gain a similar thickness back from the removal of the old wall. If your current / old wall is solid (no cavity), the new wall will be a little bit thicker, but not by much. (I think less than 10 cm, but I could be wrong!). In this case, you will lose a little bit of space.

Will just one side of the shower be open (ie shower in a corner with 2 walls) or 2 sides open? Do you have an image of the bathroom plan? Also, I would always consider adding a hand held shower head along with a rainfall shower for easier cleaning.

Fitting bath and loo in 1200mm width

There are a few "small bath" suppliers out there that do you thereabouts 1200mm x 700mm tubs. Many of these are "sit baths", a few others Japanese-style soaking tubs. Using that format would allow you to place the bath "across" the side where the window is, and the toilet next to the sink. You have such a great space! It depends what kind of style you like, but the current modern trend for many of our projects is to use a full width slightly protruding headboard which is 600mm higher than the top of the matters height. Behind this a warm 3000K LED strip light is installed to light up the wall above with an indirect light. the picture below is a good precedent. www.dorarch.com
