Photo didn't load for some reason the first time. I've found some similar ones by searching for 'pencil chandelier' but they're all from america :(. I know the UK is rubbish for stylish lighting but there's got to be something similar here surely?

No expert but have you looked at tadelakt (Moroccan lime plaster). Not sure if it can be applied to plasterboard tho. Also remember seeing somewhere where they just used white plaster then put a glaze on top, I’ll see if I can find the image.
