Help with lounge diner
Comments (4)Hi Liz, I didn't understand from your description, do you want more privacy in your dining room? even more, do you need more privacy? Any idea should come from your lifestyle and how do you see yourself living in existing space. If you need more privacy, then you can add pocket doors, better with glass If you don't need more privacy but you want to feel inside as in separate room but with an open flow, then you can add panels for semi-privacy. You even could install only left an right part without central part with sliding panels. There is always cheaper option to make it look nicer, you can hang curtains or wide sheer and keep it tightened closer to arch, it will soften boundary for the room and will give it visual understanding that it is separate room. Talking about entrance to lounge, first of all pay attention that you have radiator on that wall and you will need to think where to move it. Here pocket doors will look nice. I wouldn't go for french doors, I don't think you will have enough room for opening. Just try to keep it in one style....See MoreNeed help for lounge
Comments (10)Hello Kathy, So one other thing that would be rather nice is to place a console or table behind the sofa, if your new one will be situated in the same place with it's back to the room. It's useful but also offers a nice way to add decorative pieces and or a vase of flowers. Faux is also fabulous and I made my own arrangement with faux stems from Oka. It looks as though there's a little window. Can the curtain match the others in colour and length. Or perhaps have a voile shade or place a decorative object to sit in the window. :))...See MoreHelp with lounge layout after blocking in double doors
Comments (2)Seems to me that you need to decide what you want to look at most and point the furniture towards that. You might find that with a long empty wall you might add a fireplace. You might prefer the view into the garden or you might prefer to have furniture facing each other to be sociable. Personally I would buy a long low unit for the wall where the doors used to be and have a nice TV. I would put a sofa opposite and the chairs or smaller sofa at each end...See Moredesign help kitchen/lounge
Comments (4)Hi, Hope these pics help. The small window on the right will become the main entrance into the apartment and the horrible looking built-in wardrobe will go. The door to the right of the wardrobe leads to two small bedrooms and the bathroom. There will be a maximum of three people occupying the place. Thanks for your help. Paul...See Moredrpepe101
