Hi, I love this room and Hague Blue is one of my favourites! I would suggest a flat weave rug for this space. Flat weaves tend to be easier to clean as the dirt doesn't as easily get into the fibers, and they don't pull by little paws so easily. They have worked really well in my own home with three small children (and two dogs we often dog sit)! With regards to flat weave/dhurries there are lots of options. Safavieh has some great dhurrie rugs at a reasonable price point on Wayfair, so that might be worth exploring. West Elm has some wonderful kilim style rugs that would suit your modern space quite well too, and I believe many are on sale at the moment. Another suggestion might be a natural fiber rug like a jute with a cotton border which can be ordered online by the sq ft very easily. Both the internal rug and the outer border come in a variety of shades and materials to suit your budget and taste. A final suggestion would be to look at some indoor/outdoor options which are made from a really soft plastic (many you wouldn't even know are plastic) and can literally be hosed off in the garden. Hello Sanaa, I'm very glad to be inspiring!! : ) ) This is the idea to offer ideas that the client has not thought of, so you have a number of ideas to work with, and that you love them.. So that is brilliant! .. You will have to tell your friends in Dubai so they can hire me.. : ) Okay so moving on to the points.. I wasn't sure if you would be able to get the same teal runner again ... I think there is a possibility you can find something in teal that is approximately 3 times the size for this particular placement.. If however you want something the bed sits on... Then think about something that is slightly wider than the bed.. Either something that the bed sits on entirely.. So you have rug showing all the way around.. This negates the need for the sheepskin but alternatively, you could have something that is smaller and wider so it shows off at the foot and sides of the bed... Does that make sense to you? I'll try to find a pic to add at the bottom to show you the two placements.. There may be the possibility to move the runner to your bathroom? So you have a little continuity here, depends on your preference and size of bathroom... I didn't know you were thinking of moving the tv but the door walks straight into where you would place the unit.. so I think you should leave entrances free unless there is a lot of space... Here there is a short wall and doorway into the bathroom so it would be really close to the entrance door.. Try it and see what you think... I still like the dresser under the 3 windows.. but try them both and see what you like best.. I'd still have the chair angled in that corner.. You can sit with the door open if you didn't want to be outside on the balcony.... It could be a nice alternative... If you removed the tv, there isn't an obvious placement unless you left it above the cabinet if you chose to place it there.. Unless it has a bracket that can pull out and angle... In that case you could situate it on the left wall (from the bed) Right if you are standing at doorway.. Then it is slightly closer to the bed and can be angled accordingly.. You could then have a slim floor length mirror leaning on the wall or mounted where tv is currently... Think the chair you can make work for now with the sheepskin on it.. Unless you happen to see something... It doesn't have to be a priority right now you can always get it later to add to the room.. I like the greener lamp.. but again try it out.. If you are going to paint the wall or wallpaper then you might want to decide soon, so you could take back the colour you don't have or even have them both... Nobody says they have to be absolutely identical... They are the same shape but even if they were not.. Sometimes it is nice to have things that "nod" to the design of the other but not in quite the same way.. Had a quick look for Juju in UAE but I am certain you could find something.. There are online places that I am sure would have them or maybe an African store that could source for you.. Lots of places here in UK and London but.. shipping might be a cost! For the ceiling light it needs to be a bit bigger... Something that fits the size of the room and can even be a teal shade... Possibly shaped to coordinate with the bedside lamps... If you didn't paint the rear wall.. and have a patterned rug, you could think about a really dramatic paper.. Hicks Hexagon large could be really amazing too.. It is available in 2 sizes from Cole & Son.. Could still have Juju in a white or creamy colour... Have included something to compliment bed with warm accents.. and something that is bolder altogether.. You would then need to cut back the teal rug and choose something that compliments the flooring.. Looking forward to seeing your images later on.. : ))

I agree with Angelboyman. Move the sofa nearest the doors 90 degrees to face the fireplace and then if you want you can have your armchair and footstool, Your square coffee table will mean that you can go slightly nearer to the fireplace than you have currently. I'd go for greys and then sagey greens as you need to strike a balance inside and out, because of the beautiful view, stick to colours that you can also see outside. You have a grey / white striped canopy so grey is a good colour, trees, plants etc are green so everything will blend well. You can if you wish have a few accessories such as the cushions, vases in another accent colour, but i'd stay away from anything to heavy such as the terracotta. Just grey and greens will look lovely with the wooden doors, the coffee table, the dining table, the attractive planter by the fireplace etc. Choosing colours from nature mean that you will not be competing with the view, rather more blending with it. I'd change the black picture frames though. Grey / Green - LIght and Airy with the touch of greenGreen / Grey ( personally prefer the first combo )Greige with darker grey accent - best comboGreen and Terracotta, don't know about you, but hate it.

Wow thanks for all the ideas.i know everything looks really brown but the contrasting cushions were delayed and should be gère n'est week. The pic was taken the day they arrived and we have moved the sofa away from the wall so that we can have a light behind. I really wanted 2 chairs instead of the sofa but my other half was not keen on that style unfortunately. I am sorting all the other bits in coffee tables, mirrors, curtains now and will leave the rug for last and see how it all comes together before tackling the rug situation. Thank you also for all the photo shop images. Does Houzz have that feature? I would love to be able to do that!
