Comments (4)I have the same. Look on my ideas book 'my house project' and it shows what I have done. Painted Portland Stone (little Green) and tiles the same colour. It is much warmer that it was. I have complemented with turquoise, greens and mustards....See MoreWould appreciate some wall-unit ideas
Comments (0)Hi - We've carried out an extensive refurbishment of our flat, dividing a large open-plan kitchen area which was awkwardly-shaped into two rooms, a study-cum-bedroom with a large internal Crittall-style window, together with a combined lounge-kitchen (see attached photos). But we're struggling to find suitable units to put on the empty lounge wall facing the kitchen: can anyone suggest some specific makes/models of units that would work here? Specifically we would like floating base units (or with very slender feet) on which to put the TV & stereo, plus some mixed wall units + shelving to avoid ending up with too "officey/corporate" a feel -- if you know what I mean! The space is quite limited**. Our current TV is a little too large for the space so we would downsize it and get one with a narrower bezel - things have move on a lot since we bought this one and moved in here! Thanks in advance for any ideas! Bernie ** See marked-up sketch: Distance from corner radiator cover to sofa is 2m, so any floor unit would have to be a maximum of 160cm long to leave leg-room. For the wall units & shelving we have up to 330cm to play with before arriving too close to the corridor. Ceiling height is 252cm. Ideally the depth of any floor units would be no more than 50cm....See MoreI would like the wall over the base units 4.5m as a feature.
Comments (5)I’ve seen tiles done in a wavy line as a splashback. Glass would probably be one of the best options but I’m not sure what the limit is on length all in one piece. Bushboard have just introduced their new splashback range called Vista. There are some stunning options on there. Google it. They are not wavy top edge though only straight but the choices are outstanding. They’re available in MDF finish and acrylic....See MoreWhat colour would you paint these walls?
Comments (1)I am taking away the picture in the 2nd photo and replacing it with 3 portrait pictures, and I want to put a large brass mirror over the fireplace. Please ignore the baby fire guard!...See More- 10 years ago
